Late-term abortion doctor George Tiller, a prominent advocate for abortion rights wounded by a protester more than a decade ago, was shot and killed Sunday at his church in Wichita, a city official said.
A City Hall official who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to speak about the case told The Associated Press that the 67-year-old doctor was killed Sunday morning at Reformation Lutheran Church.
Police spokesman Gordon Bassham would not confirm the victim's identity pending notification of relatives. He said the shooting occurred at 10:03 a.m. and the gunman fled the scene in a 1993 powder blue Ford Taurus registered in another part of the state.
Bassham said no suspects were in custody. He said it is not clear whether one or more suspects were involved. Capt. Brent Allred said police were looking for a gunman who fled in a 1993 light blue Ford Taurus registered in Merriam.
Anti-abortion group Operation Rescue issued a statement denouncing the shooting.

Why would the Pro-Life movement be smeared if he was killed by a JEALOUS HUSBAND! YOU ASSumed he was killed by some right wing nut, and we don’t know yet who killed him.

Tiller didn’t use the brain sucking method. He stabbed babies in the heart with a drug to cause a heart attack before they were born.
They were already doing that yesterday. This won't change that.
I see little difference between those who would murder babies inside a womb, and those who would murder babies outside a womb....
I dont condone murder...but in this case...I can condone the choice of victim.

Without a suspect, how can anyone assume what the motive for the murder was?

Irrelevant. The MSM, and thus all popular culture, will pin this on every pro-lifer, regardless of the motive of the murderer. This is like the burning of the Reichstag.

I don’t buy it. (1) They have won the abortion issue lock, stock and barrel—you can kill babies at any time up until shortly after birth and the government will use my tax dollars to pay for it; (2) He was one of only three doctors in the country that performed partial birth abortions. The left loves these guys. Why would they kill one of their leading lights to win a battle they have already won.
I bet it will turn out to be someone who thinks he is pro-life who has, in reality, just made himself no better than the abortionist. I’ll pray for their souls and for the souls of those they have murdered.
His name will be spoken with the hushed reverence of all pro-choice martyrs.
The name of Tiller is now sacred and unspeakably holy. As was the man himself. Or...was He just a man......?
