Operation Rescue Statement:

"We are shocked at this morning’s disturbing news that Mr. Tiller was gunned down. Operation Rescue has worked for years through peaceful, legal means, and through the proper channels to see him brought to justice. We denounce vigilantism and the cowardly act that took place this morning. We pray for Mr. Tiller’s family that they will find comfort and healing that can only be found in Jesus Christ."

Good find.
I think it sums it up the feelings of most freepers on this thread as well.

Perfect statement, and they didn’t waste a second in getting it out.

Good work from Operation Rescue.

From Operation Rescue's statement:

"...We denounce vigilantism and the cowardly act that took place this morning."

Do you....or anybody else on this thread agree that this shooting was a 'cowardly act'

I’m also glad to see this statement - as others mentioned too. Surely if Operation Rescue, which have put their bodies, reputations and wallets where their mouths are; which have risked arrest, lawsuits and worse, sees things this way, we can also distance ourselves from the vigilantism stupidity that takes an extremely short term view as more important the long term gains of the entire pro-life movement.
