We will not stand idly by as North Korea builds the capability to wreak destruction on any target in Asia or on us,
Yeah but you didn’t say you wouldn’t SIT idly by either, I see you got a good dose of Obama/Hillary training there Gates, I am quickly losing respect for you.
We have the capability to destroy every missle they launch and yet Obama will not do it afraid that he will Offend someone.... and look even if the sickly Kim Jong Il wants to go out in a blaze of glory, triumphant in his sought destruction of South Korea, Obama will do nothing without the UN go ahead and he won’t get it the Chinese and Russians will see to that.
So we are screwed, people will die it will all be Obama’s fault but somehow, Mark my words somehow George W. Bush will get blamed.

WOW!
For a minute there, I thought that he was really going to get tough and issue a sternly worded letter.
But he has failed in his attempt at brutal, masculine boldness. Instead, we get this:
Although Mr. Gates said that the administration was planning to discuss with its Asian allies how to move forward with the six-party talks aimed at persuading the North to give up its nuclear weapons program, he acknowledged during a question and answer session that it would be hard to point to them at this point as an example of success.

The only one Gates scares with his 'tough' talk is Obama himself.

Gates is serious. I understand that the White House is thinking about dropping NK from their Christmas Card Kwanzaa list.

And once again I ask, “Where the #%*^ is Hillary?” This is HER job, this is happening on HER watch, and she needs to kick some Commie @ss on this one.
Smartest Woman in the World? Feh! If this was happening on ‘Condi’s Watch’ you can be darn SURE the MSM would be raking her over the coals and demanding the bombing start in ten minutes!
Yeesh!

It’s not surprising that Obama first sends Hillary! and then sends Gates out to do his job. Obama runs away from confrontation.
