The halls of the U.S. Supreme Court are a tranquil place, at least that is what I have heard from a number of my friends who have either visited the high court, or have served there in one capacity or another. One of my friends - who served as one of Clarence Thomas law clerks in the late 1990s - said that the word quiet is the norm, at least during on hours.
While the halls of Congress are abuzz over the latest bill, conflict or scandal and the White House is the same over similar events, the U.S. Supreme Court moves along at a slower pace centered on the comings and goings of just nine individuals, who seldom change in face or composition, except in cases of resignation or death.
A resignation has occurred.
Thanks to the actions of the majority of our fellow citizens, the halls of the nations highest court are about to be hit with a loud, obnoxious and dangerous sound: that of Justice Sonia Sotomayor roaming and making policy. In November, when America elected Barack Obama, and with it a large Democratic majority in Congress, Sotomayors future - and ours - was sealed. On that day in November, the United States of America was changed forever, although I am not sure that many that voted for Change and Hope knew what those two words meant at the time, but let me remind them:
Obamas America means nationalized health care, Government Motors, government-sponsored abortions-on-demand, a national sales tax, less liberty, policy being made on the federal bench, Cap and Trade, terrorists in our backyard, a nuclear Iran, an armistice-free Korean peninsula, the end of Israel, the loss of our freedom.
No disrespect to Sonia Sotomayor, but Obamas pick to the Supreme Court represents all that Obama is and what he wants our government to be: loud, obnoxious and very, very obtrusive.
Elections have consequences.
The poor nominated woman is an insult to the Supreme Court. Yes and that includes her lovely life’s story.
Liberals don’t seem to get the part that people have different brains.
Clearly when people fall into the catergory of in over your head, you need to stop.
As my Dad always used to say, “Read it and weep.”
Here's hoping this will spur the SC on to quickly overturn Sotomayor's ruling on the firefighter examination case.
Here we go...
With BOs ugly comment that when SHE arrives there will be justice for the first time.........it’s a guarantee that the decorum of the Court has been defiled with his stink bomb.
Please post the picture of O standing with his hands down rather than his hand over his heart.
Thanks, I am a tech dummie and would like to forward these two pictures......the real men........and the pic of the unpatriot.
Is she lamer than
Harriet Miers?
Add vulgar, and she confirms the PR stereotype. Unfortunately, unlike other Boricua females, she doesn't have looks to fall back on.
With BOs ugly comment that when SHE arrives there will be justice for the first time.........
I haven’t seen this comment. Did he really say this?
We refer to people like Sonia as a PITA - Pain in the A$$.
“Yes and that includes her lovely lifes story.”
I hear it’s quite “compelling.”
My first thought was the... usually minority... teenage girls in the mall talking to the girl next to them in a voice that can be heard 6 stores away.
Roger that. Please let there be a solid quote!
Oh yes he said it. That when she walks up the steps of the Supreme Court we’ll have some justice.
I’m paraphrasing but it’s been played many times.
Typical Newyorican...........that’s what they call themselves.
Can’t possibly call themselves AMERICAN. That would never do.
Loud, obtrusive and racist. She sounds like Hussein’s former pastor, the man he more than once described as his “mentor.”
I would say dummer than Meyers ... She apparently uses intimidation to cover upo her lack of intellect regarding the law.
He said that? I don’t want to listen to his voice, so I didn’t hear that one.
