At least one picture shows an American soldier apparently raping a female prisoner while another is said to show a male translator raping a male detainee.
Further photographs are said to depict sexual assaults on prisoners with objects including a truncheon, wire and a phosphorescent tube.

That's something that occurred to me too. Weren't they shown in the Boston City Council or something?
Besides, were there any women prisoners for the non-homosexuals to rape if they were so moved?
Oh, that slide show they've got, those appear to be the old Lindie England and Friends collection.

Yes they were both shown in Boston City Council and reported on by the Boston Glob (owned by the fake but accurate journal of record, the NYet Times) BOTH after they had been exposed as a hoax in the press and by the State Department.
Yes, homosexuality and sex between guards and female prisoners NEVER happens in any prisons, especially in the US.
Gee, I thought these photos weren’t supposed to be released after all. What a coincidence that their content is publicized just days after Baracky’s reversal.
The phosphorescent tube was really a chemical glow stick. The prisoners were told it was radioactive like the opening scene in the Simpson's and that unless they spoke the antidote would be withheld. The consequence would be testicular cancer, loss of hair (including mustache) and a slow painful death. Sounds more humane than water-boarding to me.
The media never does refer to Saddam Hussein's sons' rape rooms or Saddam's team lopping off hands at Abu Ghraib or disemboweling people there.
Ted Kennedy proclaimed that Abu Ghraib had simply reopened under new management. As horrible as these actions by US persons were, there is NO equivalence to what happened there under Saddam Hussein (or as Hunter S. Thompson said on his ESPN blog, worse than the most horrific Nazi attrocities).
Islam's Homemade Concentration Camp (Frontpagemagazine May 28, 2009 Pamela Geller)
The abduction and murder in Paris of a young Jewish man by a gang of Muslim immigrants calling themselves the Barbarians shocked the whole of France in 2006. But now that the accused are on trial - silence.A French judge has ordered the latest issue of the magazine Choc ("shock") removed from the shelves. The cover showed a man with duct tape completely covering his head, except for a small opening around his nostrils. His nose is bloody. His hands are also bound with duct tape.
It was a photo of Ilan Halimi, the 23-year-old Parisian Jew who was kidnapped and tortured for 24 days by the Barbarians. His captors took the picture and sent it to his family. A lawyer for Halimi's family had complained about the magazine, but Choc's editor-in-chief Paul Payan responded: "Of course, we understand the anguish of the parents and, of course, we share their anguish.... But what's so harrowing is not the publication of this photo. What's harrowing is what it represents, what happened, the reality behind it."
Karpinsky’s fault.
We know that a few US soldiers committed crimes at Abu Ghraib, and were tried and punished for it. I see no point in airing photos of the crimes, except to satisfy the Left’s instinct for anti-Americanism.
TMA - Too Many Adjectives.
bogus crappola.
more Murtha types calling American soldiers monsters.
If true, and that’s a very big if, then it would change my opinion on Abu Gahrib. The previous pictures of naked twister and having a dog collar with chain on one of the prisoners was not abuse. However, these allegations are outright criminal and should be prosecuted. Again, with the caveat of if true.
So under that criteria:
It is thought by some that these types of photos appeal to the sexual desires of the journalists who wrote this article especially if the photos contain images small children.
Sounds like bull crap to me.
I agree.
The latest photographs relate to 400 cases of alleged abuse between 2001 and 2005 in Abu Ghraib and six other prisons. Mr Obama said the individuals involved had been identified, and appropriate actions taken.
The dirtiest secrets about Abu Ghraib are that the men were already under prosecution for months before the photos leaked, Democrats in Congress had been made aware of the abuse (Hillary Clinton was among those who'd been contacted), and the photos were leaked by one of the participants who had unsuccessfully attempted to negotiate a (blackmail) plea bargain in exchange for not releasing the photos.
