Upon rewinding the DVR, he quoted:
"She HAS diabetes. And that might be a good thing, because she will likely not live as long as recent Justices are wont to do."
Then a quote from HotAir as well.
No link, this is from the live broadcast of the O'Reilly Factor.
Careful there, BOR’s intrepid and dishonest staff might pull that and attribute it to you. There is precedent.
Did Julianne Malveaux say that? I saw a post on Youtube that attributed it to Donna Brazile. At any rate, the racism on the left is so thick I don’t see how anyone could miss it.
LIVE THREAD- Obama annouces SCOTUS pick (Sotomayor) at 10 AM
To: Miss Didi
HAD diabetes? Nope, she HAS diabetes. And that might be a good thing, because she will likely not live as long as recent Justices are wont to do.
Pardon the un-PC.

Notice the time stamp and the fact that there were four comments in the same minute on this breaking news thread. The comment was burried in a Fast moving thread. O'Reilly also did not quote the comment completely, but only used the bolded part. He did not mention the, "Pardon the un-PC." This was cherry picked to attack Free Republic.
Have you read FR's disclaimer, Bill? Let me show you an excerpt from FR's disclaimer:
"Opinions expressed on Free Republic are those of the individual posters and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Free Republic or its operators."Free Republic does not advocate or condone racism, violence, rebellion, secession, or an overthrow of the government. Free Republic advocates a return to constitutionally limited government, reserving all government powers not expressly delegated by the constitution to the United States to the States respectively, or the people, emphasizing sovereign state governments, local government, self-government and self-rule, while restricting government powers to only those enumerated in the constitution and maximizing individual rights and liberty as originally envisioned and established by our Founding Fathers and secured and defended by the blood of patriots and statesmen for over two hundred years."
Get that, Bill? We, the majority of Freepers, oppose Sonia Sotomayor not because of her ethnicity, background, or sex - that's is a ruse being used by Obama, the left, and the useful idiots on the right to obfuscate the real issue at hand, which is that Sonia Sotomayor isn't fit to sit on the Supreme Court due to her lack of judicial qualifications.
She is an advocate for a leftist social agenda, and she has publicly said that she considers her role as a jurist not as an impartial arbiter of the law but as a vehicle to make policy. The opposition to her nomination on FR, for the most part, is based on her disregard for the Constitution and the principled rule of law. It is the same disregard Obama has shown for the Constitution and the Founding Fathers. Do your homework, Bill, do some research.
Where were you during the lynching of Miguel Estrada, Alberto Gonzalez, and Clarence Thomas by the Democrats and the liberal media? How come at the time, no one was particularly concerned about the liberals offending blacks and Hispanics?
You picked one comment by one individual to trash a conservative website with thousands of members!
The opposition to Sonia Sotomayor on FR isn't based on race, sex, her background, and other non substantive matters, but based on concerns for her liberal, activist world view, and also because of the fact that she has been overturned by the Supreme Court over 60% of the time in cases that reached the court, and was even reprimanded in writing by a Clinton appointee for lacking constitutional standing for a decision.
For Obama and his lackeys, growing up poor and somehow making it to Yale or Harvard makes a "compelling story." Big deal! Being a Hispanic or black is a "compelling story," and being a community organizer or a community thug is a "compelling story," too. The media hacks salivate at this notion, instead of doing an honest research and finding out the facts. Instead, commentators like Bill O'Reilly take one post out of thousands on a conservative forum to make their point. Dreadful!
another time OButthead picked racist language from an article or title and then quoted it as though lnguage from a poster
he is right on abortion but an asshat nonetheless
(you can quote me Bill, and ditch Weil while you’re at it...hot but shrill))

She has diabetes? That's a bad choice then -- takes about 10 years off your life on average.

I agree. The post referred to was totally inappropriate and gratuitous in its cruelty.
Criticize the nominee on her abilities, her decisions, her writings and public statements, opinions, and her judicial temperament.
Everything else should be off limits .
Is she really a member of La Raza? She is PR, not Mexican.
“We don’t need to be uncivil for the sake of keeping up with the liberals. We should have anger and it should be directed appropriately and productively.”
I hear what you are saying but so far that tactic has not worked. The ONLY win I see is the growth in support for pro-life causes. You could argue guns as well since Dems are afraid to touch that issue.
But BO is working on an end around on both of those issues. I do not see any organized movement working to counter the left. Glenn Beck is the closest thing going with his project912.
And yes I was generalizing. Bill O is a blowhard that caters to his audience. His audience wants to hear things like FR is a hate site. Not everyone in his audience but the majority, that is why BO says those things. Its also about the only way he gets any addtional attention.
well said.

Agreed... but he made the FR comment sound worse because it was not worded like that. Good point... though. Also, it is fine for the left to make a raunchy hateful Rush kidney comment but bottom line, do we want to stoop to their level?
I wonder if his show has someone signed up to make comments here that he can use on his show?
Ignore post # 152. I see you already did and a damned good job of it.
I saw this post when it happened. I know diabetes up close and personal. I was not offended by it, I took it as a statement of fact. We are going to get this racist whether we like it or not. The concern had been he would nominate someone young who would be on the court for decades. The poster was stating a fact. I did not take it that the poster was wishing her a short life or was being hateful.
BO and BO both stink!
To Bill O’Reilly:
Stick a falafel in it you big gasbag!
hopefully, lurkers who visit because of that quote will see it's not representative of the whole..
Anyone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think he had positive things to say about fr under the clinton era.
