You're correct. BOR seemed on his ever increasing HIGH HORSE when he made the remark about FR; an unfair assessment about an above average "net newspaper, Free Republic". I would pay him no mind, it was one of his more irrelevant remarks, really silly.

Well, FRiend, unfortunately FR has a lot of idiots who post things like that. Free speech is great -- but it has a way of biting those who use that freedom to say stupid things. And it has a way of sticking to those who don't say stupid things, too. As the saying goes, you're known by the company you keep.
It seems rather counter-productive to bitch about Bill O'Reilly when the real problem is closer to home.

The indicated quote is in very poor taste, but it is nothing compared to some of the stuff I found on Barack Obama’s site including jokes about dementia and Alzheimer’s disease as well as anti-Semitic hate speech.

I agree with you. I find nothing offensive about the post in question at all. As you said; a simple statement of fact. BOR is probably the dullest spork in the plastic utensil drawer.
