I think the best thing to do would be to do what divine_moment_of_facts said to do in #14.
IF we had 100 people send Oreilly a letter with a link to the daily prayer thread FOR Obama, and then told him we oppose her on her stance on the court, and judicial issues; then ~maybe~ he’d take a different tune (or shut up).

Bill O’Reilly may actually be correct that Sotomayor will be confirmed, but he is absolutely WRONG to believe that we conservatives will simply become socialists just to be popular.
I, for one, would rather go down (verbally) swinging. And if accepting the racism and catastrophic economic and personal control policies of the left is what is necessary to “save” the GOP then I say let it die a natural death and simply be sucked into the democratic socialist vortex.
Conservatives may be only 20% “popular” right now but thata doesn’t mean that we won’t, in a couple years, inevitably be proven right. It just might be too late, that’s all.
Free Republic is not a hate site. Calling a socialist a socialist is accurate, not hateful. Even considering the life expectancy of a supreme court justice (her diabetes, which I also have) is NOT hate. Adults have to discuss these things realistically especially in a lifetime appointment.
Apparently any realistic criticism of the left is taboo, even by O’Reilly. Oh, well. Tough.

He would never admit he was wrong then, so he certainly won’t admit it now.

O’Reilly is for the low-brow asses. He ridiculed Ann Coulter a while ago. Has a “sign-language” expert on his program for the idiots and tries to win credibility by appearing objective. Occasionally he does a fine job on the ACLU and ACORN but otherwise for the most part is a tepid fool.

O’Reilly should be supportive of Michael Savage and should be making a big deal of the fact that a syndicated talk show host is being railroaded into silence. Savage’s situation and worse will soon become the problem of countless others, if there isn’t an outcry. Shame on O’Reilly for this, too.
