If I was a CA government worker, I’d be begging to be laid off...knowing all too well that I will get all my back pay without having to work for it when they rehire me.

I was going to say, I guess Arnold will have to go back to DC and lick Hussein’s toes some more. Or maybe he needs to pull a Specter and officially name himself a Democrat.
I think this bailout is almost certain. However, no matter what happens Obama will carry California in any future elections and really does not need to repay them for any political favors since they would have voted Democrat in the last election. Therefore, if there is no political capital to be gained maybe he won’t bail them out.

Now I'm confused. I thought SOBBO's doctrine was that raising taxes and raising spending was the answer to financial woes.

The next step is to start building guillotines if the bastards don't respond correctly to the "new reality" of bankruptcy - due to THEIR excess spending on illegal aliens, welfare, excessive prison costs, refusal to drill for oil, excess Union contract salaries/perks/pensions, and a host of other issues...
