It is one of my favorite. I have read it several time. I have even had lunch with the author! What a privilege!!!

I was raised Unitarian {that was b4 the Unitarians and Universalists merged}. My faith is closer to Thomas Jefferson’s unitarianism.
The Biblical creation tale, while un-scientific, was Inspired! It served mankind Well for thousands of years. The Laws, set down in Leviticus, were Inspired! They were perfect for a pre-industrial, arid climate society. Those volumes protected the Early faithful.
An “All Knowing Deity” seems to have been at work. Whether it told mankind the Total Truth, or Just what was Needed {then}; is another question.

Not only does it require a sender, but it also requires a creator- it’s the level of complexity that seperates the info from a ‘natural creator’ from intelligently designed info. Complex info doesn’t just pop up out of nowhere, and it certainly doesn’t do so without htere first being a complex receiving set of instrucitons built into the receivers, nor is it possible for the receivers to ‘evolve’ this complex set of receiving isntrucitons and informaiton
Colossians 1:16: “For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.”
Pretty much says it all- without htere being complex sendign and recieving instrucitons inplace BEFORE abythign was created, life could not function and remain fit- period Everything, right down to the simplest cell, had to have a set of instrucitons inopalce BEFORE they could even begin to utilize the messages sent them
Amen, CottShop! And excellent Bible verse!!! I very much appreciate you pointing out that information needs a creator. To my mind that means every planet, star, galaxy, atom, molecule, etc, are sending our minds intellible messages created by God. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it!

Genesis 1 verse one, the opening of John’s gospel, the Psalm(The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the earth and they that dewll therein}, the quote from St. Paul you gave is there for anyone to read and understand. They have chosen not to accept the truth.
These folks are blinded by their own pride and egos. Even if you actually made a logical argument for you case, these fanatical bozos couldn’t follow it. They cannot think for themselves, rather they listen to false teachers and are seduced by the sweetest sounding words, live for the moment, morality is situational, if it feels good then why not do it.
Some will eventually stumble on the truth, howevr, many will sniff the brimstone soon after they pass on. Perhaps they can use their intellectual arguments on good old Satan and win their freedom from the PIT!!!
