There's been various natter about all the bad consequences of ultrasound for a number of years. "Anything is possible" if someone can simply make up a potential cause-effect relationship, and then it's not possible to *prove* that it's categorically false.
I know it's popular for conservatives to praise rational thought over emotion but without empathy and a visceral emotional sense that causes certain thoughts to disgust a person, you wind up with utilitarianism and psychopathic behavior. Put another way, once you start thinking about other people like chess pieces, it becomes very easy to sacrifice them for some other objective, just like chess pieces.
Here is another we page to consider. It's point is that psychopaths demonstrate that being intelligent and rational does not inherently lead one to behaving morally, thus disproving the argument of moral rationalism that moral rules and behavior can be derived from rational thought alone.
The family resemblance is striking. Have you bought him a pony yet?
No. Just a seat for the golf cart.
I think we’ll be hearing more bad things about ultrasound if it is helping the pro-life movement.
I’ve seen the ultrasound images of my granddaughter, who’s due to enter the world in late September. The image clearly shows the silhouette of a human being sucking her thumb. What a beautiful, miraculous creation by God Himself.
I gotta admit, when I first saw ultrasound pics of my first kid over thirty years ago, I couldn’t tell what it was they were showing me. Now, the pictures are relatively crystal-clear.
Give away free ultrasounds in shopping malls and we’ll win the culture war.
"Anyone with any common sense, much less a biological science degree like you have, knows that if you get pregnant you are going to have a baby...period, end of discussion."
Then I just walked out of the room and left her there with her mouth hanging open.
So let me get this straight — In this “brave new world” of Obamism, pouring water on a terrorist for 20 seconds constitutes “torture.” On the other hand, forcing a saline abortion surviving, late-term baby to gasp for air with undeveloped lungs and die agonizingly in a trash bin in a Chicago hospital constitutes “choice.”
I believe a special place in hell awaits Obama and those who abet and carry out these murders.
That pic at #19 needs to be used in an anti-0bama campaign ad in 2012.
That’s good. I’d add the word “human” in front of “baby”.
