Crushed Lemur Monkey is an Insult to the Evolution Hoax
American Daily Review ^ | 05/20/09 | Yomin Postelnik

Posted on 05/20/2009 12:19:27 PM PDT by Yomin Postelnik

In the latest act of media hyped pseudo-science, aka liberal/conventional science, the discovery of the crushed and flattened fossil of a lemur monkey, that while alive had a shattered left wrist, is being touted as the needed “proof” of Darwinian theory.

For the first time, all scientists interviewed freely admit that the theory of evolution had gaping holes in it. They just claim that all of the answers lie in the packaged, crush fossil that spent the last 20 years hanging on someone’s wall. In other words, they admit that until yesterday, anyone who claimed that there was anything close to conclusive proof of evolutionary was wrong, despite having sold that line for decades. The extent of the absurdity of their new “proof” will be outlined below.

The media, which specializes in hyping the ordinary, went as far as to call this spectacle the possible eighth wonder of the world. These are the same crowd that revels in referring to every new president (regardless of party) as the next possible Lincoln or FDR, every foreign leader the next possible Churchill and every Vice President of the United States…. Well, I guess there are some things that even today’s media cannot hype.

I thought the earth was 4,000 years old. So... If anything is listed as 4 million years old it has to be in error, right?

Fossil trilobites are rare compared to the original numbers of trilobites. Plus, they are found in certain limestone layers and not in others.

I like the big ones that you can put in your sidewalk ~ I only have small ones, but I have TRIVALVES as well as CORAL STALKS MADE OUT OF SILICON.

The wife took a bunch of them down to the Smithsonian years ago to have "judged" and it was all she could do to keep the examiner from pocketing them.

Now you want something that's NOT RARE you take your typical geode!

Agreed. THe author and many people here have a strong ignorance to what evolution TRULY is...many think that it was a spontaneous sludge to monkey to man thing..and that’s just not what evolution is. If anything it’s the complete opposite...If they were to discover a half monkey half man it would actually disprove evolution in a way since evolution is small changes over millions and millions of years. I’ve seen people say they believe in micro but not macro...however macro is just micro over and over again. I DO think it is irresponsible to call this the 8th wonder of the world and other such nonsense..but if this proves to be legit its just another cool piece in a giant, complex, yet beautiful puzzle. Evolution and the belief of a creator are easily compatible...those who truly study evolution don’t do so to dissprove the existence of God...they do it to understand how we truly have developed...and it’s a beautiful thing if you take the time to learn about it from places other than creation websites. I spent many a nights on answersingenesis.org and drdino.com etc...much to my detriment...real science trumps the articles on there easily. Sorry.

lol wut?

If you’re a young Earth creationist, then the entire field of geology and anthropology is in error, not just the dates of fossils.

I’m not a young earth creationist, but it seems that many here are. To them, I ask, where are the human fossils? If the fossil in question is really a lemur, where are the humans?

Understood. They usually don’t start classifying anything as a fossil until its at least 10K years old, so that provides a problem for YCEs right off the bat.

“Why does anyone take these darned scientist seriously?”

Global Warming. Do you want to add that one too. LOL. Science is mostly junk, and Global Warming is proof in the pudding. In this day and age, how can such a science hoax exist? But it does and so out with any credibility of science.

the discovery of the crushed and flattened fossil of a lemur monkey,

Lemurs aren't monkeys. They're lemurs -- no more related to a monkey than a donkey.

So you would like to silence or censor “creationist, geocentrist, creationist babboons” on Free Republic? And you think that donating $50 and promising another $1,000 at some future date will get that done? Do you realize how many posts and comments you have made on this thread without contributing a single cogent thought or fact regarding the issue at hand?

"Global Warming. Do you want to add that one too. LOL. Science is mostly junk, and Global Warming is proof in the pudding.

Anthropogenic Global Warming is not a "Theory", but more precisely, it is a model based on either varying or specific data points. Where evolution has foundational principles that can be tested and repeated or observed, AGW really does not. It may not sound like a significant difference, in point of fact it is and is why there has been push-back in the traditional sciences field from hundreds if not thousand of well-respected and published physical scientists.

Contrary to what the UN, Al Gore or others have said, and what's been repeated ad nauseum by the MSM, AGW is not settled science. Evolution however, is in a completely different category. And to compare the two is completely disingenuous.

As for your line that "science is mostly junk", you should think about that when you turn on your lights in the morning, or read this on your computer monitor, or travel to work in your car or train. These are all modern-day conveniences that have been brought to us by "junk scientist" with names like Edison, Bell, Einstein and Whitney.

Without science, man would still be living in caves, thinking the world was flat while staring at the moon which was made of cheese.

All discussion of creationism etc. should take place not in News/Activism, but in a forum devoted to the topic.

A lot of people make a distinction between technology and science. “Technologists like Edison and the Wright Brothers only got somewhere when they started ignoring the scientists.” and so forth.

"A lot of people make a distinction between technology and science

Technology is the practical manifestation of science. The computer chip or the atomic bomb are technological innovations of the scientific work-product of Einstein.

That’s your opinion and you are entitled to it. Donate another 50 bucks and maybe they will name the new category after you.
