Please post all information about today's protests here.
My phone is already ringing steadily.
Our AIP folks on the ground at the Notre Dame gates report that the CBR plane is in the air.
Yes, I could make a few obvious comments, but, I want to keep the high moral tone of this thread intact.
Ain’t easy, though!
I thought Keyes was a cradle Catholic.
It would explain the hysterical enthusiasm and cheerleading for Obama.
The priest actually said that the Caholic Church is evolving.
Raymond may be in the need of duct tape to keep his head from exploding.
It's typical for them to view the Church in terms of political correctness.
The same kind of liberal crapola that is spouted by the "Constitution is a Living Document" fools in our law schools and courts.
- Alan Keyes, about Barack Obama
Bears repeating.
I thought the same thing.
Kmiec says:
I have been declared self-excommunicated, and recently at a Mass before a dinner speech to Catholic business leaders, a very angry college chaplain excoriated my Obama-heresy from the pulpit at length and then denied my receipt of communion.
Building a Bridge to Life Abortion as Tragedy, not Right
It wont help now that the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) has endorsed Obama over Clinton. This is an endorsement that is deeply troubling unless the good Senator Obama intends to match it with the sobering acknowledgment that abortion is less right, than avoidable tragedy.
******
Kmiec says:
while the Senator and I are in disagreement, it does not dim my enthusiasm for his presidency since I believe for the first time we will have a president who genuinely intends to address the poverty and anxiety that in the vast majority of cases determines a woman’s decision.
Second, I greatly respect Doug Johnson and his work in behalf of life. In this regard, he has been in this vineyard long enough to know that there is a meaningful difference between pro-abortion and pro-choice. Indeed, in Senator Obama’s case, it is more aptly a difference between criminalization and compassion, or to be even more fair to the approach advocated by Mr. Johnson, regulation and restriction or the encouragement of a responsible exercise of freedom.
In any event, Senator Obama has never been pro-abortion, and is not now.
Doug Kmiec: It is well known that Senator Obama has clearly stated on numerous occasions his support for restrictions on late term abortions. Indeed, Senator Obama has identified the need to draft a clearly defined health exception, the responsible narrowing of which Doug Johnson and I - and perhaps the entire right to life community — have been advocating for decades.
******
Kmiec is also a LIAR! Obama supports LATE TERM ABORTION!!!
Before Kmiec speaks again about Obama’s purported commitment to “abortion reduction,” perhaps he should reflect on the question put to the Obama campaign by RHrealitycheck.org, a prominent pro-abortion advocacy website — “Does Sen. Obama support continuing federal funding for crisis pregnancy centers?” The Obama campaign’s official response was short, but it spoke volumes: “No.””
It is a talking point, I switched over to Fox and Fr. Morris was arguing the point with some git from pepperdine who also claimed the Catholic Church was evolving.
Both comments within a 3 minute time period.
Fr Weslin was Lutheran. Not sure when he converted, but I think his wife was Catholic. His wife Mary, who founded unwed Mother's Homes was killed in a car accident in 1980. He became a Catholic Priest.
Pray for Obama’s opponents.
Just curious why pick this day and this thread to get on your hobby horse? Your issues can be brought forth any time, Very poor taste, indded.
Her sign is the main point.
Celebrating a baby killer like Barack is antithetical to Christianity, but it was done at a nominally Christian institution today.
He employed the usual jargon about being "open" to and tolerant of different views (i.e., moral relativism for abortion and stem cells). But who is guilty of following "parochial" principles here?
There is no "doubt" on these moral principles for the Christian.
I second that.
Truly, The three voices were like the Three Kings... and the crying baby was the voice of hope and love. No matter how dark the moment was, they are the little light that shines.
God Bless them all and protect them!
Zero was trying to frame those that passionately defend the unborn as unreasonable,close-minded fanatics that just don’t really want to reduce abortions like the rest of sane-minded open minded Americans.
That was insidious nature of his slick speechifying.
Obama, Late Term Abortion, & Infanticide. (Chicago Senate Bill 1662)
August 27, 2008
that Obama Proposed. Senate Bill 1662. The bill basically
Amends the Statute on Statutes. Defines “born-alive infant” to include every infant member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive at any stage of development. Defines “born alive” to mean the complete expulsion or extraction from the mother of an infant, at any stage of development, who after that expulsion or extraction breathes or has a beating heart, pulsation of the umbilical cord, or definite movement of voluntary muscles, regardless of whether the umbilical cord has been cut and regardless of whether the expulsion or
extraction occurs as a result of natural or induced labor, cesarean section, or induced abortion. Effective immediately.
On Obamas own site there is a chart from planned parenthood defending what bills threatened Roe V Wade. They saw defining a baby as alive once born as a THREAT! A THREAT! Here planned parenthood has shoved down the throat of my generation the lie that an inutero baby is not alive and therefore has no rights. Now they even say that of the born alive baby??? This is absolutely counter-intuitive.
Go here to view Obamas no vote in the Senate Judiciary Committee on March 6, 2002. Bill 1663 Was a direct copy of bill 1662 and considered a companion bill.
