The U.S. Attorneys Office in Massachusetts directed employees earlier this month not to log onto the Drudge Report website with government-issued computers due to potential viruses on the site.
In a message sent May 4, Paul Harvey of the Boston office wrote that security officials with the U.S. Attorneys Office at the Department of Justice asked them to reformat/reimage two computers because the user visited the drudgereport.com site.
Please avoid the Drudgereport website from the [United States Attorneys Office] computers, Harvey wrote.

Oh, there's a virus, but it's incurable.
Drudge has been doing an absolutely great job showing Obama for what he is. It’s probably the only place where most people see the truth about what’s going on in the world, since a lot of people get their news there who are not specifically looking for a conservative web site. So he reaches people who don’t listen to Rush or visit FR.
IMHO, he hasn’t been this good since Monicagate. I can well believe that he is annoying the hell out of Obama and his minions.
Note post #6 and post #7... :-)
I’ve never had any problem with Drudge.
I'd always make the IT guy put in a new HD if I even let him/them near my computer. Their first response is always to reformat the drive. Useless when it comes to "saving" your work PC.
The government tells who you are allowed to access online, Catholics being arrested at Notre Dame, the Fed firing CEO’s...where will the line be drawn until critical mass of us stop it! We are getting closer to China everyday.
Actually, I believe it. My husband says whenever I’ve been on the computer—and I mostly read Drudge and FR—that he has to clean off all the “junk.” Mostly I freep at work and here, we have continual protection against invaders.
I don’t need Drudge Report I have Free Republic.
Horse manure. If they don’t want them on there, they can just proxy it out. No sweat, all of two minutes to do.
You said — The government tells who you are allowed to access online

Well, that’s a pretty well-established and standard practice for all employers, whether you’re talking about government or private industry.
In fact, you’ll have FReepers here who will jump all over you, if you said you were entitled to use your employer’s computers to access whatever you wanted... :-)
>Get a MAC dopey.
Introducing the all new MAC Dopey!
;)
Swine flue
Apparently a lot of other people, including FReepers, are having problems with the Drudge website, from the comments here...
You said — Ive never had any problem with Drudge.

Neither have I, but then again..., I have a Macintosh, so I don’t have to worry about 100,000 viruses... and trojans and so on... LOL...
Exactly! ... LOL...
It’s getting so that ‘code’ introduced as ‘advertisement content’ is out-of-control. It can hog 50 to 100 megabytes of memory and who knows what can be going on invisibly with the user’s consent.
Java-script and Java itself is getting all powerful and resource hogs.
There has to be software coming out that can throttle down this crud.
