Animal Legs for Humans
A Seattle designer has come up with the ultimate gadget for people who would like to be taller and more graceful - animal leg extensions.
Kim Graham's Digitigrade Leg Extensions add 14 inches of height to the wearer - and she claims a number of famously pint-sized actors and performers already have their names on the two-month waiting list.
The fine art sculptor says the steel extensions are much more than just stilts and insists: "They give a person the uncanny and graceful appearance of an animal."
They're made of steel, cable, foam, and rigid plastic - and, according to Ms Graham, take just 10 to 15 minutes to learn to walk in.
They apparently work well on level surfaces, although sharp inclines are difficult and stairs are downright risky.
The legs cost just £500 a pair - or £665 for spring loaded hooves for those requiring a little extra bounce.

ttiuwp, likely grossly.
Doesn't cloven = 666?
Did someone mention 'more graceful'?
Yikes!
I used to walk on stilts as a kid. I can see the fun of that, but this doesn't look particularly graceful, while still, and I can't imagine it looking graceful in motion either.
Does she perform at the Chinese Love Circus?
And you can see a short movie of someone walking in these things here
Kind of does something for me.
Watching that, I wonder if it can lead to biomechanical problems like wear in the hip joint, bursitis, etc?
A person would probably wear them for a day before their back starts giving them problems. Notice how the lady in the picture is compensating by supporting her back.
Nah, this would only be another fad until the lawsuits begin.
Wow! Love that fur covered version!
These are just dumb as hell. It is the kind of thing you might see in a futuristic sci-fi where society has become decadent and rediculous all at the same time (what was that Stallone movie where old commercial jingles were considered pop music?)
At least those leg extensions that look like a piece of curved metal have some function (they let you run faster.)
Besides, if you are a woman and want to make some body part look bigger, your feet ain’t the place to start.
Sicko.
yea - that’s attractive /sarc
Centaur love, huh?
” take just 10 to 15 minutes to learn to walk in.”
Is that minutes or years?
That’s true. It seems to me that it would be hard to work overhead while wearing them, but they seem to do it with ease.
Cloven hooves, and,,,, standing on a sewer cover!
