Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter, who switched to the Democratic side of the aisle from Republican last month, is shocked, shocked that some of his former brethren arent so happy about the move.
I feel very comfortable being a Democrat. My new colleagues were always my friends, the five-term Senator told Men.Style.com, the online site for GQ and Details magazines.

He fits right in, the liar
Like so many other career politicians, it’s all about him and the nation be damned!
For once I believe you, Arlen, and for once I think you did the right thing. Bye.
His ignorance apparently flows into his social skills.
Benedict Arlen is a disgusting human being.
Same old same old story. What right do you have to respond when I attack you.
Like two kids fighting and one runs to mom and says.......he started it when he hit me back.
Will no one rid me of this meddlesome Senator?
Heh.. well, maybe someone should ask him about loyalty or actually having beliefs in their parties ideals. This all about Specter! What a loser of a person (he has made his bed in history and it is not pretty).
I wonder if he’s shocked about being demoted in his new digs as an official lib lover? LOL
Didn’t his new buddies vote to strip of his 26 years in the Senate.
Yeah, that's why your friend Harry Reid lied to you about the deal you were getting, and you stupidly believed him.
Specter is in his own world that’s void of reality if he’s really shocked at GOP reaction to his betrayal of the party.
I feel very comfortable being a Democrat
What an understatement. You always were a Democrat you moron.........
Miserable, self-serving coward...
LLS
"'I just was not going to subject my record to the bleak prospects of a primary election,' he says"
HA!!
No Arlen, I don't suppose you did.
"Not only was it 'disappointing so many people were unhappy with my choice,' Specter says. But he feels 'personal disappointment at the Republican Party, that it didn't want me to be their candidate.'"
Interesting.
Just the opposite among your former supporters.
Arlen, *that* is a disconnect.
You from the voters, and the voters when they disconnected you.
"Specter didnt want to give voters a chance to decide between himself and conservative former Congressman Pat Toomey in the Republican primary."
Whadda guy, that Arlen.
Always thinking about the voters, *always*.
"Specter thinks there is at least one Republican who hasnt turned against him: former President George W. Bush. Asked by Mens.Style if he and Bush parted as friends, Specter said, 'Oh, definitely. Maybe you should ask him, but I'm pretty sure he'd say the same thing.'"
Well, there you have it.
The Republican Party is better off without him. We will never be able to attract anybody to the party if we don’t stand for anything. As long as we moderate and temporize to keep somebody like Specter in the party, we will never be able to stand for anything.
It is painful to lost the seat now, but it is to our long-term advantage. If Snowe and Collins want to go, too, the same thing will apply.
Though after seeing how the Donks have reneged on their deal with Snarlin’ Arlin, maybe Snowe and Collins will stay put.
Isn't that what elections are for?????
