I just bet the defunded DOD will get right on that.

No need to weaponize space if you can take control of the sattelites, not to mention the power grid, the internet, etc..

“Ultra Secure”

I wonder how long it'll be before it's on the pirate's bay, source code and all?

If it runs Windows apps without crashing they can take down Mickeysoft itself.

People already are buying computers with “free downgrade” from Vista to XP because VISTA is such a stupid pain in the ass

Vista did nothing but add pretty colors, bloat, strange new menus to try to learn, confusion, and wasted on-screen real estate space and overhead to a pretty good operating system, WindowsXPPro.

The same as Office 2007- I was so annoyed that the ‘ribbon bar’ took a quarter of my screen and moved every command somewhere that I could not find that I unloaded it and went back to 2003 and recommended to our entire organization of 3000 computers that we had no reason to switch, and the resulting confusion would waste tens of thousands of man-hours AND $$$$ with no discernable benefit.

I wondered if it was a variant of something already ‘out there’. Would be interesting to see what it was they came up with.

“In a recently conducted kernel similarity analysis, a Chinese student debunks this notion by pointing out that not only are different versions of Kylin’s kernel virtually the same, but also, that most of the kernel code is identical to the one of FreeBSD5.3:”

They boosted freeBSD as a national accomplishment? bwhahahaha.

Doesn’t everyone?

You know, it used to be that this is what the CIA was for.
But under 0bama, the CIA exists to get dirt on 0bama’s political enemies, and prop up 3rd world Left-wing despots.

That may happen but whoever does it will find out that China takes piracy of her IP seriously

Right on !!

Office 2007 - why bother to retain a menuing system that has been in place for almost 15 years?

Yup, I get tons of requests to replace 2007 with 2003 - with the conversion file set, 2003 works just fine.

There is a $49, 3rd party, ‘upgrade’ pac that chenges the 2007 menu set to that of 2003. Who said MS didn’t encourage small business?

Yeah, that was the stupidest move that group of "geniuses" ever made. It dropped productivity twenty-fold.

We now use Open Office. It is free and stable.

The Chinese used to think something else was really secure that a lot of people here would laugh at but we got great intelligence by exploiting it. We may still be doing it which is why I won’t say what it is.

Bottom line is some people give the Chinese way too much credit.
