Years ago they were looking at linux very hard. I bet they have a variant of that.
If it runs Windows apps without crashing they can take down Mickeysoft itself.

Vista did nothing but add pretty colors, bloat, strange new menus to try to learn, confusion, and wasted on-screen real estate space and overhead to a pretty good operating system, WindowsXPPro.
The same as Office 2007- I was so annoyed that the ‘ribbon bar’ took a quarter of my screen and moved every command somewhere that I could not find that I unloaded it and went back to 2003 and recommended to our entire organization of 3000 computers that we had no reason to switch, and the resulting confusion would waste tens of thousands of man-hours AND $$$$ with no discernable benefit.
I wondered if it was a variant of something already ‘out there’. Would be interesting to see what it was they came up with.
