Alleged Nazi war criminal John Demjanjuk has arrived in Germany after a flight from the United States.
He is expected to stand trial in Germany on charges of helping to murder 29,000 Jews.
Demjanjuk arrived in Munich Tuesday after a flight from the northern U.S. city of Cleveland, Ohio. Immigration officials took the 89-year-old Demjanjuk to the airport from his house in an ambulance.

Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected his final appeal against extradition to Germany. His family unsuccessfully argued that the flight would further endanger his poor health.
Germany has charged the former auto worker with being an accessory to 29,000 murders at the Nazi-run Sobibor concentration camp in Poland during World War II.
The Ukrainian-born Demjanjuk has said he is innocent, insisting he was a German prisoner of war.
The Demjanjuk case has been dragged out in U.S. courts for more than 30 years. The Justice Department says it has evidence Demjanjuk was a Nazi guard, and it stripped him of his U.S. citizenship.
U.S. authorities say Demjanjuk lied about his past when he first came to the United States in 1952. They extradited him in 1986 to Israel, where he was sentenced to death on charges that he was "Ivan the Terrible," the notoriously sadistic Treblinka death camp guard.
Israel's supreme court overturned his death sentence when new evidence raised doubts that he was Ivan the Terrible. Demjanjuk returned to the United States in 1993.
It is not yet clear when his trial in Germany will open.
Fry him.
welcome back to the Heimat!
Just think, if he converted to Islam and declared war on the United States he could have the full protection of the ACLU and the sympathy of the President. Turns out he’s the wrong kind of accussed killer.
Careful, you’ll get called a “Uke-hater”...
There’s much more I’d like to know. Was he shooting people and shoving their bodies into pits? Or was he trudging around the wire. He was in the Russian Army, and was captured by the Germans. I figure he did what he had to to stay alive. I really want to know the depth of his involvement. He’s being charged with being involved in almost 30,000 murders. Were other camp guards charged in the same manner? I wonder what the evidence shows.
Gee...I hope the Germans don’t do something horrible to this SLIME before they put him to death...Wouldn’t it just be awful if they Waterboarded the gentleman or kept him up for 11 days?? Libtards will probably protest at his execution...Makes me sick
The evidence you want is less telling than him hiding for 60 years and not taking responsibility for anything. Are you a Nazi lover or something?
All of the evidence against Demjanjuk, came from KGB archives. Now the KGB would never forge anything, would they? Consider that since Demjanjuk was taken prisoner by the Germans, by Soviet policy, he was automatically condemned to death should he ever return to the Soviet Union.
And an attorney from Holder’s office to defend him pro bono.
“Are you a Nazi lover or something?”
Stuff it! I know the guy came here illegally, and that’s cause for deportation. But, being a Cleveland resident, I’ve have read a lot about his history. He’s a local story, so lots of coverage. I want to know about the evidence, and I want to know how others in his situation were charged. That hardly makes me a nazi lover.
And if he’s innocent and dies from the trip, nobody will give a rat’s ass.
I'm no nazi lover, but neither do I get satisfaction from prosecuting 89 year old dying men.
Not all of it:
Findings of the Israeli Court (that cut him loose)”
The judges agreed that Demjanjuk most likely served as a Nazi Wachmann (guard) in the Trawniki extermination unit and had been posted at Sobibor and two other camps.
Evidence to assist this claim included a certificate from Trawniki bearing Demjanjuk’s picture and his exact personal information allegedly found in the Soviet archives in addition to German documents that mentioned Wachmann Demjanjuk and mentioned his date and place of birth. Statements of another Wachmann (Denilchenko), both in 1949 and again in 1979, identified Demjanjuk as the Wachmann who served with him at Sobibor. Demjanjuk’s Trawniki certificate also insicates that he served at Sobibor, as do the German orders of March 1943 posting the Trawniki unit to this area.
After Demjanjuk’s acquittal, the Israeli Attorney General decided to release him rather than to pursue charges of committing crimes at Sobibor.”
KGB and the Communist secret services were churning out wartime crime accusations against emigres active in opposition groups in the West. Their allied fellow travellers here followed the orders. This may well be the case here. If you want to know how the Communists infiltrated and subverted Western institutions look at the Demjanjuk’s case. Many of the alleged war criminals became heroes in their home countries after the fall of the Wall.
He has yet to stand before the ultimate court. His fate will be decided then. That court has all the evidence ....
To be clear, the Israeli court found he was not Ivan the Terrible, but was, in fact, part of another Nazi extermination group.
In short, his alibi was he didn’t kill people 123 because he was busy killing people 456 and couldn’t do both.
And the Israeli court did not have the charges of killing people 456 in front of it, and did not pursue futher charges based on Demjanjuk’s alleged health problems.
The German records correspond to the Soviet records.
So assuming that Demjanjuk served as a guard, did he participate in the murders in anyway? Or did he simply stand in a guard tower. Also, did Demjanjuk have a choice, or would the Nazis had killed him had he not “volunteered.” We do know that returning to the Soviets wasn’t an option. I hate Nazis as much as anyone, but it seems there are a lot bigger fish to fry (i.e., George Soros, who directly profited from helping to send his fellow Jews to the ovens)
Fair enough.
