I took it as a swipe at Palin, and I voted for Romney in the primary.

Fact is, Romney has matinee-idol looks himself, and his family is also very good-looking. He should beware of expressing resentments like this.

Palin's achievements in Alaska are more to brag about than his years in Mass.

“Was that the issue on the most beautiful people or the most influential people? I'm not sure. If it's the most beautiful, I understand..."

An obvious dig.

He "understands" if it is about physical beauty, but tries to deny that she is influential.

Makes sense. She is influential (to conservatives and those that want to preserve the Constitution), he is not.

A cheap shot. At least it was out in the open (as opposed to his other attempts to marginalize her) even thought he is denying that it is what it is.

Romney is only backtracking because he got huge flack over this by me and others who support Sarah Palin. He talks out of both sides of his mouth. This is what I can’t stand about these elitist GOPers, first they bash, then there is backlash, then they take it back, but it’s already out there. He reminds me of a used car salesman

No way a corporate turnaround specialist could have won last year. Probably no way Mitt could ever win a national election.

It was clearly humor but there are people have none and just look to be offended at anything.

Absolutely. This is manufactured nonsense. And by the way, I’d much rather be complaining about Romney and/or Palin right now than Obama.

Dismiss entire regions of the country and you’ll never recover. We don’t have to give them the final say on the Republican platform, but if we don’t at least reach out to educated suburban voters in the Northeast—a moderate but traditionally Republican group—the party is in trouble, since we’ll lose more than just MA and NY voters in the process.

Given what happened to the economy after the conventions, in retrospect he would have had by far the best chance of any of the Republican candidates.

Watched the Chris Matthews NBC show on Sunday, and he had his lib contestents annoint the new Republican spokesperson, and three out of four of them annointed Mitty. The libs are pushing the RINO, and the real leaders, like Palin, nary a mention. Something fishy about the libs picking conservative leaders, aye.

I took it as a swipe at Palin ...

So did Rush Limbaugh, as he mentioned on one of his shows last week.

Romney irritates because one never knows where he stands on issues.

Palin is clear as a bell on what she believes in. That is why she stands head and shoulders above Romney.

I wonder how the Mittbots try to justify that.

they looked at the polling numbers and were surprised to find that by golly, Sarah is still drawing the conservatives and Mitt's numbers.... not so much.

I don't think it is about being offended.

It's about recognizing that it was a dig, using humor.

It's using the liberal playbook.

“I think there are a lot more influential Republicans than that would suggest.”

Wrong, they're only influential to right-wing extremists, not normal light minded DIVERSE peoples like say....the CNN audience./s

Romney will make a great Sec. of Treasury in Palin’s cabinet. He will never be president.

I agree with both sentiments. I would like to see him at Treasury. Or the Federal Reserve.

Huckabee will be back using his boring show to advance his socialist christian open borders agenda.

Huckabee is a one trick pony. He's worse than Bush II. His claim to fame is that he doesn't support abortion. Wow it's real brave of him to say... "I don't believe that you should stick a pipe in a baby's skull, suck out the brains, chop off the limbs and suck it out of the mother."

If you want to do or have an abortion, don't ask me to support you in murder or pay for it. It's on you. Have a nice life.

That's the wedge issue for conservatives. That and gay marriage.

All the libs do is divide us among our little groups and we get Mitt, Huckabee, McCain, Crist and the rest of the douche bag patrol.

Now by accident, Sarah Palin is put up. Well gee, she talks the talk and walks the walk. She is to be DESTROYED by the MSM. She's to be isolated, humiliated and cut off from the conservative movement, cause doncha know... she's like stupid. Just what they did to Quayle, tried with Reagan and Bush.

her son has Down's... so she's belittled and mocked for bringing forth a child who to the democrats is just a "useless eater". They joke about "more retarded things coming from her mouth than her vagina".... (classy libs, right?)

She believes in protecting America.... her son is over in FAO, not as a paper pushing , f'ing REMF lawyer, but on convoy as force protection. His name, his MOS, his unit and identifying tattoos are released to the public in order to just "inform" the public. ... the libs are praying he gets fragged out or better yet crippled in order to see if Sarah will crack and go all lib and anti-war. F'ing cowards the lot of them...

Meanwhile Biden's son is "serving in Iraq"... where? uh, cant' release that info...

what unit? ... don't want the enemy to know...

doing what? (gee, a lawyer... who knew?) that's so he can run as a "war hero", for daddy's office and carry on the b#llsh#t tradition of idiots from Bidenville. LIke Kerry, Murtha, and the rest of the collection of misfit, perverts and douche bags that are our democrat party and ruling elites.
