President Barack Obama ended on a serious note, pledging his undying support for journalists and specifically newspapers.
President Obama spoke about media job losses and changes in the industry, then quoted Jefferson, “if he had the choice between Government with newspapers or newspapers without Government, he’d choose the latter.” The gushing was perhaps understandable at a press function, but it’s what he said next that foretold of a newspaper bailout.
Obama told the crowd “Your ultimate success is essential to success of our democracy” before shortly saying “Government without a tough and vibrant media is not an option for the United States of America.”
The notable thing in context is that Obama primarily in the speech talks about newspapers, with other media outlets being mentioned second (collectively), or when making a joke (for example, noting that Jefferson hadn’t seen Cable News.) It would appear from the speech clearly that Obama holds the mainstream media, and particularly newspapers above online media. It is clear that when he talked about “tough and vibrant media” that he is referring to mainstream media, and newspapers in particular.
He concludes with the line that the problems in the media industry are “problems worth solving,” which sounds an awful lot like the final word that there’s going to be a newspaper bailout.

The media is nothing but a voice for the Dem party. They have manipulated the sheep and dumb arses into thinking the Dem party is the cool chic party when infact it is the party of open borders, cut the military, make us weaker, homosexual marriage, tax/spend and soft on crime.
Course the GOP should be raising this to the media and tackle the media head on. When on the Sunday shows they should be saying to the likes of MSNBC how come you do not investigate the Dem party for all of it’s corruption, why are you not looking into Murtha, why not find out why bozo went to Kenya on tax money to see Odinga and helped him get elected.
No instead the GOP cowers int he shadows for fear of being called a name but radical left wing loons
Yesterday I saw a brand new Jaguar in my town with an obama sticker on it.
I noticed they were not from here (very rare to see obama stickers or even any Dems here in my town)but from palm beach.
I drove by and looked at the old couple and thought to myself you complete dumb arse idiots. You will be taxed, you voted for the down fall of this country, you are completely dumb and I bet you watch those media networks stations every dinner time.
Ask them do they think illegals should get social security, ask them do they want two of the same sex to marry, ask them do they want us to be weaker militarily and I bet the answer is no but they still vote for the Dems because they have always done so in their lives even when they lived up north .
course these dumb sheep do not understand that by voting Dem they made a mess of their old state but they now come down here to make my state a mess.

Karl Marx once said that his agenda could never be successful by force but they have to get people with the same mindset into positions of power and influence.

The GOP should be calling the media out and asking why there is a no coverage of corruption and the left. Ask them why they fail to inform the public of what these left wing groups and the unions are doing to this country.

Obama has figured out that bailing out a business gives him the ability to nationalize it without any fuss. He already has his own “Pravda”, but he needs to insure it with more control.
