PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- CBS Sports golf analyst David Feherty came under sharp criticism Saturday for a joke he wrote in a Dallas magazine article that suggested American soldiers would be just as likely to knock off House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Leader Harry Reid as they would Osama bin Laden.

Pelosi and Reid do not get it, they are in their own little fiefdom and sheltered from reality.
I just hope they open their eyes up and realize, we troops are not ignorant nor dumb when it comes to politicians try and pull the wool over others eyes.
We put them in power, we can take them out of power. Also, the CIA can truly undermine this administration and the Zero Administration is doing a fine job in helping them along. You don't F*CK with the hand that feeds you..i.e the CIA feeds the Admin, not the other way around.
And I am sure Sykes will suffer similar condemnation for her remarks???

"Despite how the conflict has been portrayed by our glorious media, if you gave any U.S. soldier a gun with two bullets in it, and he found himself in an elevator with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Osama bin Laden, there's a good chance that Nancy Pelosi would get shot twice, and Harry Reid and bin Laden would be strangled to death."
It's a spin on an old lawyer joke. AP makes it sound like some kind of terrorist threat.
Hang in there David. The ultra liberal, traitorous, dying PC media doesn’t like getting back what they sowed.
Keep up the good work. They operate on the principle of free speech, but want to limit yours.
What’s also important is what he said before that sentence.
He had been on tour, entertaining the troops, and he heard this joke from our military at all the camps. Good jokes spread fast.
Thin skinned hypocrites.
Lightweight bullies.
I know two ex-soldiers who would... in a heartbeat!
I read the article waiting for the “grimace moment,” but that’s one of the funniest things I’ve read in a long time! Good one, David!
Notice that the objection is coming from media matters — have they apologized for anything they might have said or done to undermine our troops or our country? I believe the answer to be NO!
May be a joke... but probably not too far from accurate.
Neil Boortz talked about this article Friday on his show. The article is very pro Bush. He talks about GW living in Dallas and how much he loves the military and how much they love him.
He is commited to visiting our wounded troops stateside and those serving overseas.
The media is trying to smear him for this joke as to not give credibility to the content of the rest of his article.
My Husband and I are Feherty fans. He writes articles for Golf magazine. I actually read his back page articles because they are soooo very funny.
I think Feherty only meant to express the current sentiments of the troops as to their new management, and not to imply any actual physical threat to anyone. It was probably not a good joke to tell, but I sure laughed at it. Bin Laden probably laughed at it, if he is not dead. Pelosi and Reid didn’t laugh at all.
A big difference between libs and normal people is their sense of humor.
I never find anything libs say funny, and am always horrified at their fake sense of outrage at things that are really funny.
