CIA Says It Briefed Congressional Leaders (Pelosi Lied and EIT died)

WASHINGTON -- Congressional leaders were briefed in detail about techniques used in the Central Intelligence Agency's interrogation program, according to a new intelligence document.

The document appears to conflict with recent statements from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who was then the top Democrat on the House intelligence committee. Ms. Pelosi has said she hadn't been told that the CIA was using the technique known as waterboarding, or simulated drowning. According to the document, Ms. Pelosi was one of the first lawmakers briefed on the interrogations in 2002.

Ms. Pelosi's spokesman Thursday reiterated the speaker's earlier contention that she was told in the briefing that waterboarding had been authorized but not yet used. Related Documents

CIA Director Leon Panetta said the agency compiled the document -- based on the files and meeting summaries written at the time that represented the best recollections of the briefers -- in response to requests from Republican lawmakers, including the top Republican on the intelligence panel.

Exactly, Exactly, Exactly!!! That’s what should be the REAL scandal here, but will never be touched on by the press. The Dems used this issue to beat the Reps over the head, ultimately to win the Congress and Presidency, and really approved of it all along. In a time of war no less. In a country with a truly fair press, this would DESTROY the Dems!

I go over there with approximately the same joyous anticipation of getting a digital rectal prostate exam, so I don't see much danger of me somehow falling through the looking glass. I just feel like I need to keep an eye on the enemy, to see if once in a while they'll be honest about things, or maybe just get a small clue. It never happens.

You see, you suspect that they actually have a clue for you to detect.

A normal assumption, that’s true. However, I have finally come to this conclusion, since I have never been able to detect a clue from the communists that call themselves “democrats” there simply is not one there.

They really don’t have a clue, therefore we can not get one from them either.

On Sept. 4, 2002, less than a year after 9/11, the CIA briefed Rep. Porter Goss, then House Intelligence Committee chairman, and Mrs. Pelosi, then the committee’s ranking Democrat, on EITs including waterboarding. They were the first members of Congress to be informed.

So, who was the director of the CIA from 9/11 to 2004?

George J. Tenet 1997–2004 was the Director of CIA.

Tenet was appointed by President Clinton and approved by Congress. Tenet then became the CIA director in August of 1997.

So, Pelosi is now saying that George Tenet lied to her or ordered his congressional briefers to lie to Nancy.
