State of the Moon Titan Addressed (Titan young after all?)

State of the Moon Titan Addressed

--snip--

We’ve reported these mysteries about Titan for years (insert Titan in the search bar above and see). This paper is important because it shows that the leading Titan experts have still not been able to come up with credible answers to their falsified predictions despite 5 years of unprecedented data. Recall the observational facts: no global ocean. Very little surface ethane. No plausible supply of methane, which is currently insufficient to account for a perpetual methane cycle. Indications that methane is being depleted. Dunes covering 20% of a relatively dry world. Few impact craters. Surface flows, indicating remnant heat sufficient to cause surface activity today. An atmospheric methane abundance only sufficient to last a hundred million years at most (a few percent the assumed age of the solar system).

All these puzzles can be solved by abandoning the evolutionists’ obsessive-compulsive fetish with that 4.5 billion year age figure. That would instantly remove the need for all those ad hoc rescuing devices. Titan would make sense as a young world after all. If it didn’t cause Charlie D. gastric pains to consider this option, it would certainly be in the direction the evidence is leading. Aren’t scientists supposed to do that?...

_______

I must have missed Darwin’s forays into cosmology.

It’s pretty obviously not a serious work when silliness such as this emanates from the author. It’s just another gratuitous slam that the choir will leap up and shout AMEN over, while the rest of the congregation shrugs.

LOL. You are obviously hoping that no one reads the interview.

Evolution is useless when one’s concern is ‘operational science’, you know, as the article says, like charting trajectories in space.

Evolution is useless to Michael in the work he does.

Okay, I did. And this was what returned in my search of 'Titan'
Titan Watches from India.
Not bad either a nice Chronograph (Octane) for only 8,000 Rupees. ($162.80)
And the cool thing is, Titan Watches are part of that Indian 'Tata' group. And they make womens jewelry too, so one could say, "Do you like my Tatas"? A sure conversation starter at a Bar. [The downside is they onle sell in India.]

Anyway, that's what I found when I searched 'Titan' :-)

“All these puzzles can be solved by abandoning the evolutionists’ obsessive-compulsive fetish with that 4.5 billion year age figure.”

False dichotomy. I know it comes as a shock that it’s difficult to make accurate predictions about something that’s 900,000,000 miles away - let me grab my bible and see what the good book says about Titan...

Didja even read the article? As an operational science type, he’s simply pointing out the difference between applied and theoretical sciences. Yes, evolution is irrelevant to APPLIED sciences. Friggin d’uh.

His “science” is skewed by his YEC beliefs, nothing more.

....but I bet he can land a Volkswagon on the moon within 5 feet of where he wants to.

==Didja even read the article?

Yes, I did. Michael Tigges says evolution is useless to operational/productive science, unscientific, undermines Christianity, and that creation is the much better explanation of origins.

If there was a planet which was destroyed resulting in the scars on Mars and the Asteroid belt between inner and outer planets, then Titan need not be an old object, it could have been captured as rems of the destroyed planet for which Mars was a moon.

Job 38
The LORD Speaks
1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the storm. He said:

2 “Who is this that darkens my counsel
with words without knowledge?

3 Brace yourself like a man;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.

4 “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.

5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?

6 On what were its footings set,
or who laid its cornerstone-

7 while the morning stars sang together
and all the angels [a] shouted for joy?

8 “Who shut up the sea behind doors
when it burst forth from the womb,

9 when I made the clouds its garment
and wrapped it in thick darkness,

10 when I fixed limits for it
and set its doors and bars in place,

11 when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther;
here is where your proud waves halt’?

12 “Have you ever given orders to the morning,
or shown the dawn its place,

13 that it might take the earth by the edges
and shake the wicked out of it?

14 The earth takes shape like clay under a seal;
its features stand out like those of a garment.

15 The wicked are denied their light,
and their upraised arm is broken.

16 “Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea
or walked in the recesses of the deep?

17 Have the gates of death been shown to you?
Have you seen the gates of the shadow of death [b] ?

18 Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth?
Tell me, if you know all this.

19 “What is the way to the abode of light?
And where does darkness reside?

20 Can you take them to their places?
Do you know the paths to their dwellings?

21 Surely you know, for you were already born!
You have lived so many years!

22 “Have you entered the storehouses of the snow
or seen the storehouses of the hail,

23 which I reserve for times of trouble,
for days of war and battle?

24 What is the way to the place where the lightning is dispersed,
or the place where the east winds are scattered over the earth?

25 Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain,
and a path for the thunderstorm,

26 to water a land where no man lives,
a desert with no one in it,

27 to satisfy a desolate wasteland
and make it sprout with grass?

28 Does the rain have a father?
Who fathers the drops of dew?

29 From whose womb comes the ice?
Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens

30 when the waters become hard as stone,
when the surface of the deep is frozen?

31 “Can you bind the beautiful [c] Pleiades?
Can you loose the cords of Orion?

32 Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons [d]
or lead out the Bear [e] with its cubs?

33 Do you know the laws of the heavens?
Can you set up God’s [f] dominion over the earth?

34 “Can you raise your voice to the clouds
and cover yourself with a flood of water?

35 Do you send the lightning bolts on their way?
Do they report to you, ‘Here we are’?

36 Who endowed the heart [g] with wisdom
or gave understanding to the mind [h] ?

37 Who has the wisdom to count the clouds?
Who can tip over the water jars of the heavens

38 when the dust becomes hard
and the clods of earth stick together?

39 “Do you hunt the prey for the lioness
and satisfy the hunger of the lions

40 when they crouch in their dens
or lie in wait in a thicket?

41 Who provides food for the raven
when its young cry out to God
and wander about for lack of food?

He made note of the difference in theoretical science trying to reconstruct the past and applied/operational science of the type he and I use. STOP THE PRESSES!!! Note: then he goes into theoretical science land to talky talky about theoretical science concerning the origin of life as his belief system says it originated.

At no time did he say evolution was unscientific......he said that HE found the theory “lacking”.....that HE failed to find the rationale to accept evolutionary postulates for the creation of life. Friggin’ d’uh....evolutionary postulates go against his deep seeded belief system (tell me something I don’t know)(.......and his training is in.....a field of OPERATIONAL SCIENCE.

Of COURSE evolution is contrary to YEC. STOP THE PRESSES!!! I need a physicist to tell me that?

I see him TALKING of science that shows the Biblical truth can be true in the science world......but I don’t SEE the science he’s talking about.

STOP THE PRESSES.....no scientific credibility is placed on....the Bible. OMG!!!

What is not known about Titan doesn’t equal knowing something about the moon. For example might not tidal heating drive volcanoes that spew methane from the interior. Not impossible if differences in the atmosphere between flybys is detected.

We are looking at Titan as it is now and its early life may have been much different just as it appears Mars was and, and we believe earth’s was.

I see nothing here that supports a young Titan or a reason to.

That’s why I put a question mark after “Titan young after all?”. The point is, the old-age predictions are failing (i.e. methane atmosphere should have been long gone but is still there, lack of methane/ethane oceans, not to mention all the “ad hoc scenarios” to keep Titan old) but, if I understood the article correctly, they would all be resolved if the Evos removed their old-age assumptions and allowed for the possibility that Titan is young.
