I wonder about the dimension -1 and the AA cup size.
You've never had a daughter? The breast tissue that develops first is generally the area around the nipple. This leads to a bit of a protrusion that is embarrassing (because it doesn't look like a real breast, it appears pointy) and doesn't look nice under clothes. A bra smooths things out.

Not to put too fine a point on it but the calculation was made by subtracting the circumference immediately below the breast from the circumference at the nipple line. To obtain a minus 1 would imply a depression rather than a protrusion.

Boy, some of those contraptions are little more than torture devices given the support needed to hold them up. Luckily, my good sense has allowed me to accept that my strapless days are well over.
