ONDON Busty women have banded together to battle Britain's largest clothing retailer over a surcharge for extra-large brassieres. Frustrated with failed attempts to convince Marks & Spencer to drop a 2 pound ($3) extra charge for sizes DD and larger, the women plan to take their fight to the company's annual meeting.
"They aren't listening to customers, maybe they'll listen to shareholders," said Beckie Williams, a founder of Busts 4 Justice who has purchased a share of M&S stock so she can attend the meeting. "People think it would be great to have big boobs, but it's an emotional issue, it can make you feel isolated, and shopping at Marks & Spencer can make you feel like a freak when they charge you extra."
The group, which has grown to several thousand members via Facebook, seems to have tapped into a reserve of resentment.

America must have... how else do you explain Obama & Biden?
Um...don’t larger sizes require more material...more underwire...etc.?
Doesn’t seem like a conspiracy...just economics.
By their reasoning, a Chevy Tahoe should cost no more than a Cobalt.
I wear XL shirts, not because I need them, I just like the loose fit. But, I pay an extra $2 for the XL size; simply stated .... it takes more material to make an XL than it does a Medium or a Large shirt.
Would a DD bra be any different?
TTIUWP
Does Britain actually HAVE a large (again ... ) DD and up market?
Not only that, but it makes sense in that statistically there are fewer women who wear them, so they don’t need to manufacture as many. However, they still need to operate all the machinery and labor. So they have to make up the money elsewhere.
Plus if they can charge a premium, they will.
America has an XL and up market to justify the increased cost
All this company has to do is say that they are actually giving a discount on the smaller size bras. Then sit back and watch the fur fly.
I’ll pay the difference, for certain considerations.
Price them by the pound.
How cheap are thongs there?
In the UK they do!
Boycott Bras!
What a no-brainer! Of course they can charge extra for larger clothing..it takes extra material, which increases the production cost. Sheesh! Should I make a fuss cos DH is a TALL guy, and we have to pay extra for that size? Once I figured out his mom wouldn’t give me a stipend for his tallness, I got over it! (It’s her fault, she’s the tall one)
Like 'em big, do you?
Bigger cars cost more...
Bigger TVs cost more...
Bigger houses cost more...
So what we have here is that the smaller busted women who require less material should subsidize the excess material required of the busty.
Ah, the joys of socialism!
We tried that in the 70's. Wonder if it really made a difference? (GUYS, SHUT UP!)
