Senate Democrats Deny Specter Committee Seniority
WashPost ^ | 5/5/09 | Paul Kane

The Senate dealt a blow tonight to Sen. Arlen Specter's hold on seniority in several key committees, a week after the Pennsylvanian's party switch placed Democrats on the precipice of a 60-seat majority.

In a unanimous voice vote, the Senate approved a resolution that added Specter to the Democratic side of the dais on the five committees on which he serves, an expected move that gives Democrats larger margins on key panels such as Judiciary and Appropriations.

Looks like Obama went a-huntin’ and bagged a RINO.

Just another typical Democrat backstabbing betrayal.

Nothing new but as others have posted, Spector (aka No Testicals, aka Arlen Sphincter) was too egotistical to notice the trap being laid for him. So he got way-laid, but so what? Obama has been screwing America for years and most never noticed or wanted to notice.

Now Obama is screwing fellow blacks in DC by abolishing the one school, a voucher school, that is actually helping students blossom.

He’s got to keep them dummies down on the Democratic Plantation so that they will vote for him to give them a few crumbs. Yep, DC is Dummy-Central for black democrats, but Balto, Phila, Chicago, and Detroit are right up there - and so is their murder rates, their unemployment rates, the decline in the physical quality of their housing, and the corruption rates.

Yep! It sure pays to be a Democrat, if you are one of their leaders. As for the sheep, shear them, time after time after time, and keep them begging for more.

Isn’t the number of seats allocated to the majority party and the minority party set by agreement based on the number of seats in the Senate or House, and if so, shouldn’t the least senior Democrat be bounced so that a member of the minority party can fill the allocated quota?

You wrote: “Specter’s a very arrogant guy. I know that because he’s my senator, even though I don’t vote for him.

These guys are addicted to power and money. He should just retire. Who keeps working at that age, other than politicians.”

What continues to irritate me is the fact that Congressmen are grossly overpaid. Based on performance, their pay should be cut at least in half. Do I hear, “cut to zero”?

LOL.

Which means they will also deny him the party's nomination.

Arlen the Traitor is finished in politics.

Sphintor has to drink his fair share of Kool-aid before he is trusted.

Hey Arlen, how does it feel to have to be a bendovah boy?

The one bad thing in this that I can see is that it discourages people like Snowe, Grahamn, McCain (hoping) and OTHER RINOS from leaving the party, too.

Obama spread the word around...Spector is joining them, but he will be relegated to a seat UNDER THE BUS, along with those others Obama used up.

At last, Specter has been reduced to little more than a SpecTATOR in the Senate. He will fade into irrelevance very soon.

Lookie here I answered my own post he’s running for cover.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/07/us/07specter.html?hp

“I am sure this is an awkward time for Senator Specter,” said Senator Tom Harkin, Democrat of Iowa. “It’s a transition.” He quickly added: “Time heals all wounds.”

Under intense analysis of his every move and utterance, Mr. Specter canceled a scheduled appearance on Wednesday night on “Larry King Live” on CNN.

His dance of death is like his magic bullet. First it went left, then it turned right, then it turned left, then it fell under the seat and became a museum piece.

Bye Bye RINODINO Specter, just go peacefully and retire.
