A Month in the Life of George W Bush (news and photos): May 2009
www.georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/releases/ ^ | 1st May 2009 | Snugs

Posted on 05/01/2009 8:57:31 PM PDT by snugs

All of April and the start of May 2009 find us still being bombarded by the media hyping up the first 100 days of President Obama with no sign of it dying down. Following the introduction to the monthly thread I will post some photos to remind us of the first few days of the first May of the George W Bush Presidency - those were the days.

The quote I have chosen for this month are remarks made during Commander-In-Chief Trophy Event at the South Portico on May 4, 2001.

Tomorrow I will post some more photos from May 2001 I am sure we will see the contrast what we see and hear from the first few months of the Bush Presidency to the Obama Presidency will make us realise even more so how much more respect and love GWB had for the office and the country and more importantly the individual citizens rather than just special interest groups as the current President does not even bother to try to hide.

Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

Yes, this “train wreck” is awful. To me, what is even worse, is that he told us what he was going to do, and he's doing it. Those who say, “he ran from a moderate position” are trying to justify why they voted for him IMO. NO! His voting record, his close associations, his anger, his refusal to divulge personal data, his own words and actions (not wearing the flag pin; not pledging to the flag, et. al), the picture of Che Guevara in his precincts, etc. all pointed to what he is. It's terribly frustrating to me. My prayer is that the America we love survives him.

I missed Gibbs saying that, but it's just “one more nail in the coffin” to prove that he is a Muslim and not a Christian. His Oath of Office gaffe has more meaning than is being given to it. The 2nd time, he didn't have his hand on the Bible or any religious book.

I so miss President Bush and Vice President Cheney. It’s almost like being homesick.

Ofluma is THEIR president. WE don’t have a president right now.

I read it here on FR, I’m sure. It was a snippet of his presser. Someone asked if he was doing anything special for the Prayer Breakfast, I think or the day of prayer, and Gibbs quipped he didn’t know, but the President prays 5 times a day.

I found it. Post 1 - Do you think it can be believed?

See post 27 on that same thread. This could be Joiseydude’s comment/sarcasm, not fact. The entire thread had not completed when I read post 1. I wish freepers would indicate when they are adding fantasy to fact.

I agree with you. I don’t think we have it confirmed that he prays 5 times a day. However, it could be confirmed if we knew what the prayer times are for Washington on a particular day and he doesn’t show up like he’s supposed to.

Anyway, I think we already know that there’s a muzzie Pres_ent in the White Hut, we have plenty of other indications.

I have sorely missed Sanity Island! And GWB and VP Cheney, too of course. Thank you snugs, and...

I can’t even bring myself to call him “president”.

Many on FR call him "pres__ent" (no ID!). It fits.

This WAS Joiseydud’s sarcasm. Gibbs said that he prays “every day”. Sheesh! Let’s not make things worse than they alreadly are!

Every time I hear a news byte these days that begins with “Today the president... [did something or other]” I always first get a picture of GWB in my mind. Always. Every time.

Then the dismal reality hits.

Like most everyone else, there were issues with which I disagreed with President Bush, sometimes vehemently. But regardless of the issue I always knew he was being honest. That means everything.

Oh yeah, and he looks great in a cowboy hat. *SIGH*

Yes that fits, too! LOL! I just call him Zero...well...because he is!

2010 can’t come soon enough for me....I am praying hard for a great backlash against this socialist-leaning government that we have in place now. I think we are ALL going to have to become activists or we are truly screwed!....and I am not even good at activism. Guess I gotta suck it up, too!

I miss him, too. The world is just not the same without our cowboy in the White House! He was resolute and honest and God-fearing.

But...Snugs did the hard work on this great thread. I just post a few pictures of the president...some of my favorites! :D

#1 When you can’t get any traction with the mass media spin machine you get dispirited and don’t bother defending yourself because your remarks will not bet fair and proper distribution anyway
#2 George Bush is North East Brahman born and considered himself above scrapping with the Democrats and politicking
Clinton was in permanent propaganda& campaign mode and 0bomo is emulating this.

#3 Reagan was the best it has been downhill from there the country drifts more left every year no matter who is president. Due to the liberal run school (indoctrination) sytems and the liberal mass media
