The conspiracy theorists of the world believe the U.S. government faked the landing of Apollo 11 on the moon. They also believe 9/11 was an inside job, ordered by operatives within the government. The rationale of these acts was to distract the masses from the disastrous Vietnam War and the plummeting stock market, while escalating their control over the American people. I believe I have uncovered the largest conspiracy in history. The government wants you to believe that banks are recovering, housing has bottomed, stimulus works, borrowing leads to prosperity and war leads to peace. President Obama and his cronies at Treasury and the Federal Reserve are trying to mislead the public regarding the health of our banking system. If you believe their spin on these issues, I have a structurally deficient bridge in Brooklyn Id like to sell you.

I am of the opinion that when the recovery takes place it will be in spite of Obama’s programs, not because of them.
And, I am also of the opinion that the Administration will do all they can to keep the economy hurting as long as possible. They need it looking bad to justify their power grabs.

Alice was the first person on the moon, everybody knows that.

Government is squeezing private sector slowly out of business and yes, that does keep the economy in the crapper. Private sector wage increase for the last quarter? .02%. How about government? .08%. So if you are in the private sector, your wages cannot keep up with inflation.
Why do you feel that way Petronski?
...and that one person was a Mexican National who's parents brought the sick baby to Texas Children's Hospital.
Liberals feel, conservatives think.
The talking heads are hoping they can create an illusion that everything is just hunky dory and that Oboma is without blemish.
No industry can recover so long as it is nationalized.
I just associate with lots of women and I know how women love to talk about how they ‘feel’. Perhaps one of us is a bit less advanced in data analysis which is what I happen to do for a living.
OMG! I guess this joker has the crystal ball that will tell what the actual future losses will be? LOL!
And on average, the flu kills 36,000 in the US a year.
Toddster, you back. You disappeared for awhile. We were discussing SIV’s and your flimsy arguments/cheerleading in defense of those products. Toddster, your opinions are worthless.
The people who support 0bama think the economy is improving, so long as the government is controlling more and more of it. Government controlling 10 percent of the economy is bad. Government controlling 50 percent of the economy is good, even if that means 50 percent of the wealth that existed prior to that accomplishment is gone. Government control = good, and increasing government control = getting better, no matter how bad things really are.
If you ever pull your head out and link to the thread where you imagined I did that, I'll be happy to show you your mistake.
Something tells me that the economy will look good until the 2010 elections, then it will go in the tank again after the Democrats have gained more House and Senate seats.
They will then use the 2010 election to go for an even bigger power grab and force us into unabashed socialism.
You know, I find it kind of convenient that our troops will be getting out of Iraq right before the 2010 elections.
