“A senior adviser to U.S. President Barack Obama says that Russia has some reasonable concerns about U.S. missile defense plans. “

Proving that Obama has no clue what the system is designed to do.

There will be lots of knee-jerk reaction posts just based on the title alone.

What will be missed is something subtle, yet frightfully important: that to claim that Russia’s complaints against our missile defenses are legitimate means that everyone accepts that our missile defenses work.

And *that* fact means that the liberals have lost the debate over “unproven” missile systems.

Yes, we’ve come a long way since Ted Kennedy invented the phrase “Star Wars” to debunk Reagan’s SDI, haven’t we?

Then the missile defense should help nuclear disarmament in Russia.

Candidate Obama stated that he didn’t support missile defense because it was an “unproven technology”. Several successful technology-proving tests later, he decided the main objection was “cost-effectiveness”.

Moscow says the system could undermine the deterrent of its vast nuclear arsenal.

Deterrent to... whom, Vladimir?

The system only affects the deterrent effect against the USA and our allies.

Moscow says the system could undermine the deterrent of its vast nuclear arsenal.

And how is this bad???

Russia's objections are legitimate as Washington and Moscow pursue nuclear reductions.

I guess if you're on Russia's side they would be legitimate.

I think the Russians are worried that we’d attack them if we could shoot down all their nukes, since that’s what they’d do if they could shoot down all our nukes.

Psychological projection on a national scale?

Dems first say it doesnt or wont work. Now they agree with Russia that it will work beyond their wildest dreams. Why dont Dems just confess that they dont want to defend the USA?

US President Barack Obama continues to receive heavy flak for defending the nuclear deal he initiated with Iran, and then enlisting the support of his allies in the Senate to prevent rival Republican leaders from blocking its implementation.
Now, Obama will likely face more criticism after Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner revealed in a speech before the United Nations General Assembly on Monday that a former Obama administration official tried to convince Argentina to provide nuclear fuel to Iran sometime in 2010.
In her remarks witnessed by world leaders, Kirchner recalled how Gary Samore, who once worked as the White House’s top advisor on nuclear issues, visited Argentina in 2010. …
