“No contact anywhere with an illegal alien!” conservative talk show host Michael Savage advised his U.S. listeners this week on how to avoid the swine flu. “And that starts in the restaurants" where he said, you “don’t know if they wipe their behinds with their hands!”
And Thursday, Boston talk radio host Jay Severin was suspended after calling Mexican immigrants "criminalians" during a discussion of swine flu and saying that emergency rooms had become "essentially condos for Mexicans."
That’s tepid compared to some of the xenophobic reactions spreading like an emerging virus across the Internet. “This disgusting blight is because MEXICANS ARE PIGS!” an anonymous poster ranted on the “prison planet” forum, part of radio host and columnist Alex Jones’ Web site.
There is even talk of conspiracy. Savage speculated that terrorists are using Mexican immigrants as walking germ warfare weapons. “It would be easy,” he said, “to bring an altered virus into Mexico, put it in the general population, and have them march across the border.”
As about 130 cases of H1N1 virus, known as swine flu, have been confirmed across the United States, from San Diego to New York City, the growing public health concern has also exposed fear and hate.

Of course not. I also don't like some whiny, foaming-at-the-mouth SOB being portrayed as "What the political Right thinks". You can argue against illegal aliens without claiming that their all in restaurants wiping their butts with their bare hands.
The man is an embarrassment. About an hour into his three-hour whinefest I feel like hanging myself.
Savage has always preached borders/language/culture, so his take on the pandemic is not new.

This shouldn’t surprise anyone. When Japan attacked us, we hated the Japanese. When we went to war with Germany, we hated the Germans and the list goes on. When people are hurting, one way or another, they’ll find someone to blame for the pain. It’s just nature and it’s been happening for centuries. It just so happens it’s Mexico’s turn over the barrel. History is great if we pay attention to it.
Entire Islamic nations teach their children that “Jews are pigs and apes”, and this enlightened race baiter goes nuts over one guy out of 300 million saying “mexicans are pigs”. What a true skewed agenda driven turd.

I've heard him contradict himself several times. I also kinda despise how he treats callers to his program.
Savage will come off at first like.....go ahead caller, make your point (in a flippant manner).
Then when the caller begins to talk, he cuts’em off and goes on a rant.
Very few callers are able to complete their point.
All in all, he is entertaining, but rude as hell.
Either way, I don't think he’z as smart as HE thinks he is.
Mexico is a cess pool of crime etc. There are some good people there but the government and socialist type of government that is wedded to an inbred socialite power structure is going to make it our next hot bed of terrorism, imho.
Seriously, anyone with even a modicum of common sense and/or intelligence knows that having an open, porous border iwth a third world country will lead to the scattering of various diseases. Whether or not the swine flu is one of these is irrelevant to the fact that it has happened and will happen in the future. So, why not use this incident at this time to point out the way in which our government is intentionally leaving us vulnerable to these diseases simply for political gain? If not now, when? I mean there are a myriad of reasons that the open border is bad for the US and for Mexico. We should be utilizing this moment to point these out. So, kudos to those willing to speak up.

Absolutely true. Rather than defeat the leftist ideology and make conservatism look smarter, he portrays it as crazy and raving. We're not going to win hearts and minds that way.
Oh, I didn't say he has no right to the airtime his advertisers pay for. And yes, his core ideology ideology is correct. I just think he's a counterproductive, whiny, miserable nutcase.

Is cheap Mexican labor worth a pandemic and thousands of American Lives? I guess the rich factory owners who live in Hawaii or France don’t care about the rest of us trapped in the USA. Now, I don’t blame the Mexicans—If I was one I would be the first to sneak into the USA. Most of them are hard working folks and when they stay here they are good loyal people. It seems that money is all people see—and the PC nonsense is just an excuse to keep the illegals working for peanuts and making big profits for the upper crust.
With the swine flu we must re-assess the border and lock it down even if we need bring back all the soldiers, airmen, marines and sailors from the Middle East to stand shoulder to shoulder from San Diego to Corpus Cristie Texas.

You guys are naïve if you don’t think they wipe themselves with their hands. We had to place security cameras on the outside of bathrooms to deter them from wiping it on mirrors and walls.
The Left appear to be far more dispassionate and analytical than the Right.
Ever been forced to listen to NPR? The content is garbage, but the delivery says "reasonable".
The Right, on the other hand, makes good points, but their delivery is careless and emotional.
I've heard both sides. I agree more with Republicans and conservatives than I do Leftists. But the fact is, conservatives and Republicans too often let their emotions take control of their mouths.
That's not to say the Left aren't emotional. It's just that they know how to hide it.
