Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.
Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).
But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!
G.O.P., R.I.P!
Good point...
I’m with ya Jim.
Let’s just make sure it doesn’t come to that!
No more insider, big gov’t types, ala McCain, for president. We have some great conservative Pub governors that will provide hope for the BO fatigued. They would take the country by storm. Palin and Jindal come to mind. Of course, they would have to withstand a withering attack from the MSM.
what did he say to bash Sarah? I didn’t hear that...
If the Republican Party doesn't change their primary process a RINO could win again by independents and crossovers and splitting the conservative base between multiple candidates. This is how McLame became our candidate. If this happens I'm out too.
I'd rather get beat voting for a Dick Cheney or Sarah Palin than to win with a Democrat Lite.
Thanks, we don’t need another Rudyfest.
Riiight. Scroll back to my posts on the romneytruthfile keyword. I posted videos, transcripts and articles of his abortionist, socialist speeches, words and deeds. His abortionist/socialist record speaks for itself. And if he ever runs for president again, all of those videos, transcripts, articles and more will be in the breaking news column of FR every day. I guarantee it.
The GOP has already been dealt enough destruction by suggesting that voters must choose the “lesser of two evils.” It’s time we rid the republican party of all of its evils and move on.
I certainly agree with that. Only registered Republicans should vote in GOP primaries.
LOL
No finer, I mean come on.
Anyone who thinks government mandates is good can go get Democrats to vote for him.
I agree.
Other than Governor Palin, everyone who has attempted to run in the past is questionable. Newt has no business even thinking about it. McCain needs to be retired and to go home.
I’d like to see a Palin and Bachmann or Bachmann and Palin ticket. AND, I’d like to see her announce who her Vice President is BEFORE the Primaries.
Michele Bachmann is a tiger going after Barney Frank and using his own words to add an amendment to the Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act, yesterday. And then he gets his staff to contact her staff to water down the bill . . . to water down the bill HE promoted a year ago! He supports ACORN instead of the voters. And Michele Bachmann isn’t afraid to tell him and us.
Agreed. She just needs to do what she did in the primaries last time around, and what Reagan did. Go over the heads of the MSM and talk directly to the people.
Romney isn't going to cut it, people! GOP voters already decided that in the primaries. That ship has sailed.
I think all of us want a winning candidate that is as conservative as possible.
That will never happen unless we have a person who can communicate the conservative message effectively, in a way that resonates with the voters.
Obama did that with the liberal message in '08 and that's why the GOP had its ass handed to it.
Unless we have someone like Reagan who can inspire conservatives and even moderates to support them, this is all just an exercise in navel-gazing.
I wish the foot-stomping purists here would remember that when they call everyone and their brother a "RINO."
It matters, and we ought to care. Would Mitt have been a better candidate than McPain? Hell, yeah: but so would I, and I drink, smoke cigars and swear in public. If the GOP is to survive, it needs an infusion of new blood, informed by principles rather than expediency and lacking ties to the larcenous gang in D.C. I love Sarah Palin, but we need a principled, tough and witheringly articulate candidate who is unafraid to tell them that they are full of bovine excrement, though not nearly as useful.
Might be more productive to offer up a candidate that would fulfill the conservative agenda and then start campaigning for them now. It’d be a cryin’ shame to watch the R’s once again spend more time on a circle shoot than coming up with one good candidate that everyone could agree upon...and agree upon early.
Who do you want to see elected next time?
I voted for Sarah, not that guy she was running with..
Don't be ridiculous...that woman has withstood, practically alone, the very worst ad hominem attacks any National politician has sustained since the late 19th century over her Christian faith, her pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment values, and her fiscal responsibility.
She is refusing to break or bend, like those RINOs in DC. How can you NOT support her?
