Associated Press equals liberal propaganda

Posted on 04/29/2009 2:08:20 PM PDT by cradle of freedom

Have you noticed when reading your local papers, that every article that is national news comes through the Associated Press? That means that whoever controls the Associated Press newsroom controls what the whole nation sees. This is power like the Soviet PRAVDA and TASS had. No wonder so many people don't know what is going on.

I have been looking in my local newspaper for stories about the reasons behind the banking crisis which was due to the absurd subprime mortgages. I haven't seen anything explaining how the subprime mortages caused this problem. It has been several months since the banking collapses but still no explanation of what caused the problem in the first place. Could it be that this would put the blame squarely on the shoulders of Clinton and the Democrats?

Every time you read the newspaper look for the name Associated Press or AP.

Despite his many disappointments, I think it was Bob Dole who first warned about the bias of AP.

If this was the Bush Administration still in office with what is going on today, every AP story would start like this:

“Amid a staggering budget deficit in the trillions and record breaking unemployment and with Afghanistan spiraling out of control, the president today named his dog...”

Anyone who subscribes to a paper that buys AP articles is contributing to the problem - that’s why after 20 years I stopped getting my local paper.

BTW they lost 10% of their subscribers over the last year!

Well perhaps after 85% of the nation was already aware of it. Nice work Bob.

And newspapers are buying more and more AP articles because they can’t afford to do their own reporting because of the downturn.

What group is more biased, AP or Reuters?

There used to be a competitor UPI. I don’t know if they are still in business. Do you know of any alternative to AP?

I don’t know if AP or Reuters is the more biased. I have not read nearly as many Reuters stories as AP.

UPI is still around. AP is good for cold, hard facts of date, time, and place and brief summary.

AP does not seem to know that they are doing this stuff. They live in bubbles, and have no ability to reason using logic.

What group is more biased, AP or Reuters?

That's like debating who was more evil, Hitler or Stalin
