The military flyover Manhattan yesterday costs $328,835.00
I’m sure Algore can loan him $328,835.00 in Carbon-Offset credits. /sarc
Well, the pictures better be good, and I mean museum quality good. /sarc
Not sarcastically, I think the public is OWED a viewing of these supposed pictures, if they exist. Of course, it could’ve been a two-fer: 1) do whatever it is Obama wanted to do, and 2) take pictures as the cover for the real “mission” in the event they are requested or demanded.
THIS FROM THE SAME PEOPLE WHO CASTIGATED CEOs FOR FLYING ON THEIR OWN PRIVATE AIRCRAFT !!! ???
I don't need to imagine
Bush Puts September 11 Up For Sale
The Republican Party's decision to sell the photo of George W. Bush taken on Air Force One on September 11 for $150 generated a firestorm of outrage and controversy. On CNN.com, Bill Press wrote:
As President Bush repeated often: "September 11 is a day that unites us all." But now he's using that memorable day to divide us. September 11 no longer belongs to all Americans. From now on, it only belongs to those Republicans willing to shell out $150 for a souvenir. How tacky. It's not illegal. It's just gross. It's also a huge insult to the victims of 9/11 who died never knowing they were helping raise big bucks for the Republican party... George Bush hasn't restored dignity to the White House. He's debased it even further. (8)
But until now, no one has asked what George Bush was actually discussing on the phone aboard Air Force One.

When the president is on board it is knows as AF One. When he is not on board, it is the same as any other aircraft - Air Force (and the tail number stenciled on the aircraft).

Fox news said the only personnel on board were Air Force personnel, which you would expect to find on an Air Force plane
I hope the truth comes out soon. The fly-over was ordered to be kept secret for fear of reprisal. Sounds like something a Chicago thug would do. Frankly, I don't know how they could possibly expect the fly-over to be kept secret when they scared the Be-Jesus out of a crapload of people on the ground.
I am certain that this figure pales in comparison to the lost productivity and sales incurred as a result of the panic that ensued due to the "flyover".
I may be mistaken but I believe the Marines fly those planes.
Great picture, Great Man, thanks for posting.
Sorry, the answers to the tough questions aren't on his teleprompter.
Thanks for posting that. I remember the hoopla from the Dems over this non-issue.
Chump change for an Obama PR shot. Where does this stuff come out of the budget, anyway? The Great Leader Proganda line?
Sascha and Malia?
That could have paid 10 unemployed Americans a $38,000 salary upfront or any dividend of salary you could come up with.
Obama O’h Obama you did it again.
FIFY
No, it is our plane and I betcha each and everyone of us, individually, has paid more money towards the cost and operation than Obama has paid. Actually, I would like to fly on my plane some day but for now I will settle for the passenger list of the 4/27 flight.
Air Force 1 is staffed by Air Force personnel. It is part of the 89th Airlift Wing located at Andrews Air Force Base.
