I hope Juan McCain switches - probably to the Mexico PRI Party. I am so sick of RINOs.

Not exactly breaking news.

I thought he did this about 25 years ago.

“I see your true colors, shining through”

Can he be recalled? I’m a Pennsylvanian who voted for him because I wanted a Republican in the Senate, not a Democrat.

Senators cannot be recalled/

I guess he will be announcing that he didn't pay taxes now.

That was my thought. His internal data must have shown he was going to lose the primary.

I don't like conservatives who forget their cores.

Arlan must have researched some more Scottish Law and discovered that switching parties is a right thing to do to protect your ass.

Doesn't matter anyway.

They may as well have 62 right now....

He turned his back on those of us who voted him time and again, and prayed for his recovery when he was ill, and voted for the stimulis package. He burnt his bridge right there, thinking he could offset it with his vote on Card Check. He did this one too many times.

He is well aware that he was not going to win on the Republican ticket this time, so there is no surprise here.

“His internal data must have shown he was going to lose the primary.”

Exactly! RINO Specter is the first to go! He knows that we conservatives are taking back the party and there’s simply no room for him. He’s just showing his true colors and being what he has been all along: a DEMOCRAT!!!!!!

Now, if we could only dump Snowe and Collins...

I bet when all the dust settles, that this has been in the works for some time.

Without a doubt you are correct. Will Snowe and Collins follow soon??

I have seen one party rule and it is not a pretty thing. In fact, it is likely the end of democracy or of the republic if you prefer.

Need to find appealing conservatives to run against them. How many times has this been tried against Specter?

Did anyone bother to tell him what usually happens to the President’s party in the first mid-term election of his Presidency? Something tells me this move is going to bite him in the ass.

He didn’t turn his back on those that voted for him. Some Democrats and Independents did. The GOP is a small minority party in PA in comparison to the sum of Independents and Democrats. He represents them, too.

Toomey has cost the GOP a seat. That’s a vote for who is Majority Leader and therefore who determines the agenda.

He will be humiliated and destroyed in next year’s election, just as another right wing extremist, Rick Santorum, was.
