The Fox network is sticking with its regular schedule over President Barack Obama this week. The network is turning down the president's request to show his prime-time news conference on Wednesday. The news conference marks Obama's 100th day in office. Instead of the president, Fox viewers will see an episode of the Tim Roth drama "Lie to Me." It's the first time a broadcast network has refused Obama's request. This will be the third prime-time news conference in Obama's presidency. ABC, CBS and NBC are airing it.

It’s not FOX NEWS, we’re talking about FOX. The mother ship. Home of AMERICAN IDOL, THE SIMPSONS, and the highest rated episode of LIE TO ME ever.
Same here. I’ve missed two episodes in five seasons. If Lost gets bumped, I’ll probably hit the ceiling.
I'd rather be cleaning up incontinent patients than listen to him.
Hoax Changey's Face
Chorus
When Obama says we're not de master race
We hope * hope * right in Obama's face
Not to love Obama is a great disgrace
So we hope * hope * right in Obama's face
When Herr Gibbster says we owe the world and space
We hope * hope * right in Herr Gibbster's face
When Herr Geithner says they'll ever bail dis place
We hope * hope * right in Herr Geithner's face
Are we not the supermen Liberal pure supermen
Ja we are the supermen (super duper supermen)
Is this Hoaxy land so good
Would you leave it if you could
Ja this Hoaxy land is good
We would leave it if we could
We bring the world to order
Hoax Changey's world to order
Everyone of foreign race
Will love Obama's face
When we bring to the world dis order
Chorus
Instrumental Interlude

Sometimes I wish I watched CBSNBCABC, just so I could boycott them...but I haven’t watched a network show in many years, thanks to Dish Network and hundreds of alternative choices. On the plus side, I never have to take part during inane water-cooler confabs about ‘last night’s show.’ :-)
Is this Hoaxy land so goodWhat do my fellow Freepers think?
Would you end it if you could
Ja this Hoaxy land is good
We would end it if we could
How many times did the networks refuse to carry Bush? I remember that it was quite a few times...
“A multitude of Zeros own voters are tired of seeing his face and hearing his lies.”
...if they’re paying attention to anything at all that is...
Same here! Cannot remember the last time I watched a network show. That’s why I have no clue what is on Fox regular channel except for the Simpsons which have been on forever.
Watch other stations so I don’t get newsbreaks of ZERO!
“It will be interesting to listen the the alphabet channels on Thursday morning. I suspect they will be mentioning the evil Fox News for having the audacity to not air the worthy one....and it will be with great disdain, the new F-word.”
It’s not Fox News Channel. FNC will more than likely carry the Great Pretender but the local Fox Networks will not unless the station management says otherwise.
And since my local Fox Station is in bed with the local NBC affiliate my bet is they’ll show the marxist pig.
I thought that was the whole point of this article, that Fox WASN’T going to play Bam Bam...therefore I was hoping he would have to compete AI... sorry if I wasn’t clear.
They might be airing “Lie to Me” that hour, but “American Idol” live results follows, which is the real reason they’re saying no.
And Amen, thank you and attaboys and whistles for it, no matter WHAT the reason.
I just bought a case of Scotch. I’d better watch “Lie to me”. I won’t have enough for Zero...
Obama continues to try to commandeer the networks for his continued campaigning for a job he already has. Fox finally said “ENOUGH” because they lose tons of network ad revenue, at a time when both local stations and networks can least afford it, for his third prime-time speech in his first 100 days in office, and this does not include the mainstream media’s splashing orgasm of love for the messiah that took place for four days either side of January 20th of this year. Then, since he doesn’t get to give an official State of the Union speech in his first year, he decided that he wouldnt be cheated out of that opportunity and the networks slipped on their own feces trying to be the first one to get TOTUS (Teleprompter Of The United States) on the screen. His second prime time press conference, they started to complain loudly. Now someone has finally put a stop to the insanity.
The occasion of this week’s speech is his self-congratulations on doing what HE feels is a bang-up job during his first 100 days in office. You notice that he schedules these for the middle of prime time and expects that his mainstream media sycophants will just fork over all the air time he wants. This is the first network refusal, expect more.
**MY** idea for this was to have the four mainstream networks switch off—this time CBS takes the hit, next time NBC takes the hit, then ABC, then fox...ONE airs it, the others maintain their regular programming and those wishing to watch Obama kiss his own ass can. The other networks have half a shot at making money that night.
One reason that White House is going to try to strongarm Fox is that they don’t want everyone to see that the ratings for Fox will be HUGE compared to the ratings of the networks that are either drinking the Kool-aid or afraid of Bam-bam. One or two of these a year is one thing, more if we had something like the 9/11 attacks again. This is just Obama still in campaign mode, which is the only mode he really has. He was doing in Europe and the middle east recently—you remember-—when he was demonstrating his subservience to the arabs and giving speeches to his fellow “citizens of the world”.
What if O-Vomit threw a press conference and no one showed up? Every time he does one of these things he just reads a recycled campaign speech from a year ago. He doesn’t say anything new and gives no specifics! I was driving around the desert of Nevada with my boss (long story) the night of his first prime time love fest. We listend to him on the radio and both commented on how he never said anything other than his same old campaign speeches and never once gave any specifics.
His overall message that night was “VOTE FOR ME!” It will be the same message tomorrow night.
Sorry, upon re-reading your post, I realized I misunderstood. I tend to do that once in awhile. LOL!
A monthly prime time news conference platitude spew with pre-selected questions by pre-selected reporters shills.
