"Very Aggressive" Dengue Fever Outbreak in Mexico
El Universal (Mexico) and original reporting ^ | April 27, 2007 | Greg C.

Posted on 04/26/2009 10:39:17 PM PDT by FreedomFighter1013

So far this year there have been 200 confirmed cases of an extremely aggressive strain of dengue virus in Mexico's Pacific coast state of Sinaloa. The new strain has prompted that state's Secretary of Health to issue a warning to residents to take precautions to reduce its potential spread, by eliminating standing water where mosquitoes breed. Sinaloa encompasses the resort town of Mazatlan.

Secretary Héctor Ponce Ramos, indicated that this year's strain of dengue fever is more lethal than in previous years and may be based on DENV-3 AND DENV-4 strains of the disease, which in theory would yield very deadly results and has only rarely been seen before.

Mr. Ponce said this new strain is more deadly than dengue fever or dengue hemorrhagic fever which the state had experienced in the past. The virus is so severe, patients... (continued here)

As COS Boy Wonder Rahm Emanuel likes to say "don't waste a crisis." These people will not waste this crisis and will use it to consolidate power.......

The market collapse, and Madoff’s Ponzi ripoff wiped out the formidable Jewish-Dem fundraising machine; the damage is large enough that Dems are actively searching for other campaign funding solutions. Obama and the Dems have concluded Hispanics would replace Jews as a voting bloc and fund-raising source.

Vote-hungry Democrats are tripping over themselves to suck-up to illegals. The endless government freebies pols exchange for votes is a con game to force taxpayers to subsidize Dems sleazy re/election tactics.

The only wild card is Obama's COS--- Boy Wonder Rahm Emanuel----one never knows what this cunning, calculated individual will come up with. Emanuel's a dual US-Israeli citizen, and a Wall Street operator who became wealthy overnight.

What did Rahm know about Wall Street scams that collapsed the market----and exactly what did Rahm know about Madoff's con-----as he was toiling in the cozy canyons (/snic).

Rahm had to know----there's just not that many people around sucking up billions.

To start an online petition to close the borders, go here and follow the instructions:

http://www.thepetitionsite.com/

(It's quite a LEFT-looking site, from the looks of it, but I think it should be easy to start a petition on there. I can't do it from my blackberry.)

Post link for us to email around if you get one started.

(And if you start one to ask/tell the Administration not to do jumbo-jet and fighter-jet flyovers in New York City without informing the public, post that link too!!)

"WTF is going on in Mexico....

It’s like the phukin Middle Ages down there."

Have you ever been there? I don't mean the coastal tourist resorts -- I mean the hinterlands. It's pretty scary. :-)

Immigration reform will bring a flood of new illegals with diseases that until now never made it here. Another additional reason to stop amnesty.

Good news. The Amish in this area are putting in hydroponic strawberries.

Thanks, Dave.

We have had cases of Dengue fever over here too; probably arrived from the P.I. with a Green Card. The Filipinos here don't make a big deal out it; they call it a kid's disease. If they get it when they're kids, they're immune afterward.

You are right. I was thinking of the immediate “Oh no we’ll lose our voter base” reaction from the slimey pols, but the long-term prospects (of a closed border) are much more ominous. Funny I should glaze over about that, because every time I see the cry “Build the fence!” (often in tandem with “Send the National Guard!”) I get the creeps. What better way to seal Americans in than to build a wall under the pretext of keeping illegals out.

Thanks for the jolt. The more serious the crisis, the tighter the noose. :-(

Re: “I’ve also read in the past several months of a highly contagious strain of tuberculosis in the border areas of Mexico.
I’ve been to the border many times, it is truly a cesspool.

The odor of raw sewage follows you throughout Juarez, Nuevo Laredo, Matamoras. Very dirty border towns.

Very poor sanitation, the water supply undrinkable (certainly to Americans), head lice, the air is hazardous to breath, high rates of birth defects along the Rio Grande due to industrial pollution in the river.

Most Americans have never seen the border. Mainstream America would be shocked at what they would witness if ever to visit the border towns.

It is a lawless place. 3rd world poverty, Drugs, prostitution, government extortion, kidnappings and so forth.

Hell, cops will search your vehicle, after you drive away, your minus a camera or whatever they feel like taking.

Trust me on this, I am a native Texan, the border needs to be shut down. National guard troops need to patrol our border with Mexico.

Thousands of murders have occurred along our border with Mexico in the last several years. More people have died of violence than in Iraq and Afghanistan combined in the last two years.

Over 8000 people.........Our government doesn’t even blink an eye.

We are being sold out y’all.”

*******

Your post, above, bears repeating. Add to that the fact that the entire country is a cesspool, not just border towns — I’ve seen it from both coasts and the middle and just can’t find a decent, livable part of it anywhere. Mexico is Mexico I have said since the 70’s and it’s only getting worse. Third world indeed — how about fourth or fifth world?
