(BREAKING) Officials: 2 Fla. sheriff's deputies fatally shot

CRESTVIEW, Fla. – Two north Florida sheriff's deputies were shot and killed Saturday by a suspect who was later fatally shot by deputies, authorities said.

The shooting occurred around 1 p.m. when the two Okaloosa County deputies went to Shoal River Sporting Clays and Shooting Center in response to a call, said Michele Nicholson, a sheriff's spokeswoman.

Authorities say the suspect shot both deputies and took off toward neighboring Walton County, where he was shot and killed by sheriff's deputies.

This is the county I live in. As of this time there is no known motive for this incident. This is the the third deputy killed in Okaloosa County this year. Prior to this year no County Deputy was killed on duty.

Agreed! If I got a call for a disturbance at a shooting sports center, my AR-15 and 9 of my mags would be coming with me out of the car. More lessons to be learned for the average patrol officer.
