You may not like seeing thugged-out kids walking around with their drawers hanging out of their sagging trousers, but it's their Constitutional right to show their skivvies if they want to.
So says Palm Beach County Judge Laura Johnson. She ruled this week that Riviera Beach, Fla.'s saggy pants law is unconstitutional. Despite how "tacky or distasteful" saggy pants are, people still have the freedom to walk around the city's streets wearing them, the judge said.
The law entered the books in July 2008. It prohibits people from wearing pants that sag low enough to reveal underwear. The first offense carried a $150 fine or community service.

The pants aren’t illegal. Indecent exposure is.

Personally, I think it is vulgar, it helps you to identify the idiots and shows the current invasion of a certain "culture", but I Constitutional right?

Who cares? I saw a guy in Roanoke and his pants were almost down to his knees. I guess he had them clipped to something. How do you run in that getup?

I don’t mind baggy pants near as much as I mind those damn fingernails women wear.

Indecent exposure is.But surely, to the extent that saggy pants can be classified as "indecent exposure", so would what every young woman under 130 pounds commonly wears.

Makes it a lot easier for cops to catch them when they are running from a crime. Almost makes it fair with the Batman utility belts most police have to wear these days.

I'm surprised on how long the fad has lasted. You would of thought walking around looking like you have a load in your shorts would be a short-lived fashion trend. And what gives with stocking caps on nice summer day? I will never understand the idiocy in that.

Sagging pants are disgusting; a law preventing people from wearing them is even more disgusting.

It prohibits people from wearing pants that sag low enough to reveal underwear. That isn't indecent exposure. Why is the government even involved in style policing?

It may be a distinction without much difference, but it’s not the clothes one is wearing, it is what one is exposing that determines the legal infraction.
So banning a particular item of clothing is not an intelligent way to go, IMHO.

Saggy pants...we don't need a law, we just need a sh*tload of Paslode nail guns!

I’m way more concerned with the parents who let their 14 year old girls wear pants with “Delicious” written across their ass.

I think this fad, for the most part is quickly going out of style.. I only see it picking up in places where it is an act of rebellion.. If you look at what the rappers and hip-hop singers(sic) are wearing now.. the style seems to be greatly shifting..
Then...

Now..
