The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 37% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-one percent (31%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +6 (see trends). Thirty-seven percent (37%) believe the nation is heading in the right direction.
Well, there you go.
Incomprehensible.
Wha??
Obama is a freight train. He cannot be stopped. Show trials, apologizing, 4 trillion dollar budgets, bailouts, nationalization of industry, sidling up to Chavez, Ortega, & the Castro brothers......nothing has made a dent. Ron Fournier had a piece today linked at Drudge talking about how America remains “high” on Obama and happy about our direction. He cited some AP polls. I don’t know that anything can or will ever slow down Obama.
Currently, the baseline targets for the adult population are 40.1% Democrats, 33.1% Republicans, and 26.7% unaffiliated. Likely voter samples typically show a slightly smaller advantage for the Democrats.
If that is indeed the breakdown Ras uses, I don't think that is really good news for BO. What will be good news is when BO's party is defeated in the next election.
It’s like he’s healed the whole world with his magic smile.
Following daily polls will make you insane.
dont understand is this a bad trend> call me stupid....but uh, he is not a good speaker, nor is he a good President. Has he been in the White house at all this month, besides taking his pooch for a poop?

So only 37% are stupid idiots.
Not much that can be done right now. The waters are calm as people believe the worst part of the financial storm is essentially over. It has not even begun. Lurking out there is a huge government debt and huge amounts of taxes that will have to be raised. That is not yet upon us, but like a tidalwave it is coming.
Never underestimate the ability of the average American to blow sunshine up his own butt.
This is a MoveOn bump from Obama’s torture investigation comment. It tells me his comment was calculated and not an off-the-cuff remark.
I’ve come to expect it, so not much surprises me. :) I do have a spring in my step knowing all of this liberalism will crush the hopes and dreams of the cultists. Eventually they will wake up and retaliate by rejecting this philosophy.
Kind of like getting through the “terrible twos” with a kid, you know? Just endure it as best you can.
Sounds like the opening song of the Mary Tyler Moore show.
The most corrupt politician ever to be President, Bill Clinton, was popular through out his Presidency. Of course, he was also one of the luckiest b@$t@rds ever to be the President, for many reasons, not the least of which was his good fortune in being initially elected by a split vote.
The Daily “How many stupid people are there” poll.
ditto.
I think this just goes to show the MSM’s continued influence on our country.
I would guess that the majority of the country does not know what’s going out with this “enhanced interrogation” discussion, the problems with the majority of 0bama’s cabinet nominees, nor the nationalization that appears to be going on with the banks. I’d even venture to guess that most of the country doesn’t know who Tim Geithner or Janet Napolitano are - remember the video that showed how many 0bama voters last November thought the that Congress was still controlled by the Republicans?
But it is sad to see how so many are deceived. Let’s hope they wake up by 2010, so we can hopefully reverse some of the socialism that will be well in place by then.
Numbers don't jump like that without a reason.
Barry's done nothing of note over the past few days other than fly his jumbo jet to an earth day conference.
Note the trend line (which contains similar, larger jumps and falls). It is far more meaningful.
