President Obamas national intelligence director told colleagues in a private memo last week that the harsh interrogation techniques banned by the White House did produce significant information that helped the nation in its struggle with terrorists.
High value information came from interrogations in which those methods were used and provided a deeper understanding of the al Qaida organization that was attacking this country, Adm. Dennis C. Blair, the intelligence director, wrote in a memo to his staff last Thursday.
-snip-
Admiral Blairs assessment that the interrogation methods did produce important information was deleted from a condensed version of his memo released to the media last Thursday. Also deleted was a line in which he empathized with his predecessors who originally approved some of the harsh tactics after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

“The only problem is the techniques are going to br used on and against us. By us I mean Prople who belive as I do, most of the people that are on this forum, legitament gun owners, Conservatives, Christians, Jews, former military, and people who believe that it is wrong to murder unborn and partially born babies.”
Exactly what I think will happen. And I am not just talking hyporbole.
I bet there were ashtrays flying around the WH this morning or whenever this news broke.....
Every time I see Gibbs I'm reminded of Dean Wermer's admonition to Dorfman in "Animal House"
"Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son."

MEMO: Harsh techniques brought good info...
'Deeper understanding of the al-Qaida network'...
Not to mention the fact that they are effectively pissing on the graves of the 3,00 Americans that died that day.
So ...
1. Prosecute the people who were responsible. make them look like they did something wrong protecting the country.
2. Make people who need to do the same thing to keep us safe afraid to do it so it won’t get done.
3. Change the policy so that it can not be done again.
4. Alert the enemy of what we were doing, which was not actually hurting them to begin with so they can defend against it.
Yep, all makes sense to me, if you want to support terrorism.
Obama Administration is full of censorship. They only want PRAVDA to report to the American people their point of view they have no time for critics, opposing points of view or dissent in fact they view it as dangerous...
Next will come the executive order that authorizes the internment of Conservative Americans. Obama Admin and Democrats have systematically been pushing this notion... and fear tactic on the American sheeple that blames Conservatives for all of our ills and asks people to be suspicious of Conservative type persons who may be capable of domestic terror activities.
So to sum it up the Obama Admin will treat our enemies with the greatest respect and will condemn and torture their own countrymen
Timing of Obama Release of Bush Torture Memos Now Clearer ( Pending prosecution....)
*******************************EXCERPT INTRO***************************
Obamas selective release of Bush Administration memos which demonstrated legal grounds for enhanced interrogation of a handful of Al Queda terrorists guilty of mass murder of American citizens raised eyebrows for the risk it posed by informing future terrorists of our interrogation methods.
But now, we learn that the timing of this release may have more to do with left wing partisan demands for Bush Administration officials to be prosecuted:
Senior Bush figures could be prosecuted for torture, says Obama
President says use of waterboarding showed US had lost moral bearings as Dick Cheney says CIA memos showed torture delivered good intelligence
By Ewan MacAskill and Robert Booth
guardian.co.uk,
Tuesday 21 April 2009Senior members of the Bush administration who approved the use of waterboarding and other harsh interrogation measures could face prosecution, President Obama disclosed today .
He said the use of torture reflected America losing our moral bearings.
“Obama should know better than to mess with the CIA and the former administration. If anyone knows about his background its them.”
You know, I was just thinking, let him try to crap on them, then MAYBE they will come out swinging and the “eligibility” issue will pop up again...puuuuulllleeeeezzzzzee Lord, let it be.
Otherwise, they are all weenies.
The Kenyan Commie looks more angry, tired and flustered each day and it’s only been 90 days. How long before he goes nuts or cracks?
I said it many times, obama will kill thousands of Americans.
______________
you numbers are way too low. Ayers said 25 million but that was several years ago. Zer0 is probably aiming for 50 million. All from red states for sure.
0bama can either protect terrorists or America. He made his choice.
Obama is just doing the bidding of his muslim masters. It’s all by design.
The information gained from these techniques was valuable in some instances, but there is no way of knowing whether the same information could have been obtained through other means, Admiral Blair said in a written statement issued last night. The bottom line is these techniques have hurt our image around the world, the damage they have done to our interests far outweighed whatever benefit they gave us and they are not essential to our national security."
Its series)))))))
paskistan is where he went to visit while he was in college and didnt have an american passport.. (americns were banned from going there)
After a day or so of reflection,, This seems. to smell like The DOD has a better plan...... (pics if you will)....
I Would Rather Be Waterboarded than be Interviewed By Nancy Or Hillary......
There is always that one guy.........
To be fair though, playing hard and for keeps is very different than being in enemy hands and pestered with waterboarding. But waterboarding is NOT pulling out fingernails, cutting of fingers and toes, etc. The Anti-American Democrats are weenies on top of being wusses. There, I vented again and feel much better.
