RUSSIA MOVES TROOPS CLOSER TO GEORGIA'S CAPITAL
Kyiv Post ^ | April 21, 2009 | AP Staff

Posted on 04/21/2009 1:24:09 PM PDT by mick

Russia has stationed its forces just 25 miles (40 kilometers) from the Georgian capital, in violation of the EU-brokered cease-fire that ended last year's brief war. And in recent weeks, it has sent even more troops and armored vehicles to within striking distance of the city ahead of street protests against Georgia's president.

Barack Obama, from Dreams from My Father, Three Rivers Press, New York, Revised Edition, 2004, ISBN 1-4000-8277-3, p. 76-7:
"But by the time I met Frank [Frank Marshall Davis] he must have been pushing eighty, with a big, dewlapped face and an ill-kempt gray Afro that made him look like an old, shaggy-maned lion. He would read us his poetry whenever we stopped by his house, sharing whiskey with Gramps out of an emptied jelly jar."

Obama’s Red Mentor Praised Red Army
AIM Report | By Cliff Kincaid | April 30, 2008

Frank Marshall Davis

Barack Obama’s childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA (CPUSA), wrote a poem dedicated to the Soviet Red Army. “Smash on, victory-eating Red Army,” he declared. He also wrote poems attacking traditional Christianity and the work of Christian missionaries.

The “Red Army” poem goes beyond hoping for the communists to beat the Nazis in World War II and hails the Soviet revolution. It says:

Show the marveling multitudes
Americans, British, all your allied brothers
How strong you are
How great you are
How your young tree of new unity
Planted twenty-five years ago
Bears today the golden fruit of victory!

Venezuela Set to Develop Nuclear Power With Russia
September 29, 2008
CARACAS, Venezuela — President Hugo Chavez said Sunday that Russia will help Venezuela develop nuclear energy — a move likely to raise U.S. concerns over increasingly close cooperation between Caracas and Moscow.

Venezuela's Chavez welcomes Russian warships
Nov 25, 2008
LA GUAIRA, Venezuela – Russian warships arrived off Venezuela's coast Tuesday in a show of strength aimed at the United States as Moscow seeks to expand its influence in Latin America. The deployment is the first of its kind in the Caribbean since the Cold War and was timed to coincide with President Dmitry Medvedev's visit to Caracas — the first ever by a Russian president.

Russian nuclear bombers in Cuba?
July 23, 2008

The media has been abuzz today at the prospect of Russian nuclear bombers being stationed in Cuba if the US goes ahead with plans for missile defense bases in Eastern Europe.

The story has riled the US enough that a US general has been wheeled out to tell the world’s press that any Russian attempt to build another nuclear base in Cuba would cross US “red line”.

The story broke earlier this week, when Russian newspaper Izvestia quoted an un-named source from within the Russian military. He told the Russian daily:

“While they are deploying the missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic, our strategic bombers will already be landing in Cuba.”

The quote hasn’t been independently confirmed, but the Russian Defense Ministry added fuel to the fire when they refused to comment on the story.

The prospect of Russian nuclear forces being stationed in Cuba - which is, after all, only 90 miles from the US coast - would bring back some rather unpleasant memories for the US of the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962, where the Soviet Union under Nikita Kruschev launched an audacious and foolhardy bid to station nuclear missiles on the Caribbean island.

[2009] Russia, China plan new joint military exercises

By MARTIN SIEFF, UPI Senior News Analyst
Published: March 26, 2009

WASHINGTON, March 26 (UPI) -- The continuing tensions over Russia's refusal to sell its state-of-the-art land warfare advanced weapons systems to China hasn't interrupted the rhythm of major joint military exercises between the two major land powers on the Eurasian landmass. The latest in the regular, biennial series of exercises between the two nations has been confirmed for this summer.

The next in the now well-established series of exercises called Peace Mission 2009 will be carried out in northeastern China, the Russian Defense Ministry announced March 18, according to a report carried by the RIA Novosti news agency.

The first bilateral Peace Mission maneuvers -- described at the time as counter-terrorism exercises -- were held in Russia and the eastern Chinese province of Shandong in August 2005. As we reported at that time, they were a lot bigger than mere counter-terrorism exercises. Warships, squadrons of combat aircraft and more than 10,000 troops were involved carrying out landings against hypothetically hostile shores. The maneuvers also involved large-scale paratroops drops. The scale and nature of those exercises suggested a trial run for a possible Chinese invasion of Taiwan with Russian support. ..."

Thank you for those posts and links.

Reading all of them as a whole I can't help but think that God Almighty must be very angry with our nation, perhaps because of our slaughter of 50 million innocent souls, to deliver us and our government into the power of this evil man Obama.

Somewhere Lincoln said that perhaps the nation will have pay back in the blood of it's soldiers during the War an equal measure of the blood spilled by slavery. Seeing what this man is doing to our country, I am beginning to feel maybe we also have a debt to pay in blood and treasure.

Sorry for the pessimism but the events over the last few weeks with this man have pierced my soul with a dread I have never felt before for our country.

Russia has been salivating over resurrecting the USSR.

Now that "Present" Obama has given his tactile approval, they are on the move.

Plus the "secret" handshake (Masonic/Bildeberger/OneWorldOdor) with Chavez conveyed the "all clear" for Russia to continue to back Chavez as he works to destabilize the region (read South America) starting with Columbia.

Obama hasn't got a clue, he is busy reading Amazon's second most popular book, How I Cozied up to B. Hussein and Now Have the OK to Expand my Power by Hugo Chavez

Obama was so excited by the gift, he ws grinning from ear to ear.

SNIPPET: “Following the coverage of my “Coordinated Russia vs Georgia cyber attack in progress” research in the Georgian government’s official report “Russian Cyberwar on Georgia” (on page 4), I was very excited to find out that a report by NATO’s Cooperative Cyber Defense Centre of Excellence entitled “Cyber Attacks Against Georgia: Legal Lessons Identified” and authored by Eneken Tikk, Kadri Kaska, Kristel Rünnimeri, Mari Kert, Anna-Maria Talihärm, Liis Vihul, is not only quoting me extensively, but has also reproduced the entire research within the Annexes.

Looks great!

Yes I agree that it’s time we bow and scrape after ending two (or three) World Wars, a global Communist takeover, many smaller conflicts, giving charitable aid until it hurt, and not to mention gifting civilization with virtually every significant technological and scientific advance of the 20th century.

Good thing President Kenya The Muslim has all of this in perspective as he compulsively apologizes to the world and denigrates America on a daily basis.

And GWB was later to the Georgia Party then he was to the New Orleans Party. I know, I watched both online in real time.

And did you notice that with NO Bush was waiting on the sidelines constitutionally not responding until he got the OK from the Gov of LA and the mayor of NO?

It was the Gov and Nagin that stalled, not Bush.

Meanwhile, our Military were rescuing people while busses got flooded because of leftist liberals who had the say about what went down when.
