Bottom Line...
Events known scheduled 848
Events reporting 761
Events not reported 87
% missing 10.3
% reported 89.7

Raw Total 874,966

('Flux') Probable Actual 1,137,456

Projected Final at end tally	1,718,527 (if last 10% is reported)

NOTE: There were MANY Freeper estimates in my beginning spreadsheet that
later were grossly undercut by news reports (many of which migrated into
subsequent reports accross the internet, and wound up in tallies reported
in several places, including here on FR) - therefore my own spreadsheet was
altered in several places, always lowering original figures. Those lower
figures were picked up and passed on to Henchster, and he dutifully included
them in his speadsheet, and I did likewise in several instances where my
original figures were much much greater.

There is another possibility - that we were 'fed' grossly inflated figures in
some cases, hoping we would use them, which could later be used to discredit
our hard work.... and folks, this has been very hard work, as the Henchster and
many others here can fully attest. So, backing off on some of those numbers I
had collected (and rued having to change) was the right thing to do, without
further verification from additional sources.

With roughly just 10 percent of the known scheduled meets unreported, and the
fact that several were cancelled by bad weather, and 'officials' who didn't allow
'protests' to occur due to lack of a 'license' or 'insurance,' the numbers will
likely not grow much. BUT...

Further collection and back-tracing of reportage could substantially increase the
numbers from where they are now. Just 5-6 percent more could push the probable actual over
a million and a half - which is about where I now believe the actual figure probably
is.

I want to thank all the many on FR who helped dig out the numbers... you worked much
faster than I (and the Henchster) could keep up! Without you, the Henchster nor I
would not have been able to provide total figures like those above!!

(Note: my numbers are a tad more than his because I often opted for the top number in
a range, but not always - and he's missing just a few that I found - the difference
between us is only about 10K.)

Thanks again...

Ron C

I'm off to bed, so won't be able to respond to comments until sometime after noon today I keep weird hours because I work the late-shift. 8^)

But, I've gotta say - the contents of this post would not have been possible without so many here who contributed so much to this effort!

Have a great day!

Thank you for all of your hard work on the truth. I loved it, my first protest. I can see why the left likes it, now we own it.

When I see a number, like 3,000 for Colorado Springs, it calls into question all of the rest. The local estimate here was 1500 which seemed about right. Doubling it does not help things. Making it 2,000 seems ok due to differences in how people eyeball things.

My opinion. I only attended the COS event.

I know it is hard managing all of this data and trying to keep it correct. I appreciate the hard work and I think it is important that someone does this.

Yeah - there might be some figures you won’t see in the papers. That figure came from a direct report from someone that was there, and backed up by a policeman... so it says in my notes.

AM I correct in thinking that these numbers are from the 15h ONLY?

For example I was at the Pittsburgh Tea Party at Allegheny Landing on the 11th. It was Easter Weekend and the local news media got it COMPLETELY wrong. One report claimed around 4-hundred people attended.

I can prove that wrong easily. I have a 360 pan shot and there are lots of other videos as well including this one.

I guesstimated the 11th crowd at 5k at least. It could have been as high as 7,500 because there was spillover under the bridges, people coming and going and several hundred behind the speakers area. The park itself was packed.

So listing the Pittsburgh PA tea party at 2,200 while correct for that day does not include at least another 5,000 even though I'm sure many attended both events.

That was my intention but I ended up flat on my back with a severe cold on the 15th and decided I'd better stay home, there are going to be LOTS more opportunities!

A P.S. - wireplay... some of these figures come from Pajamas Media - that supposedly got them from the ‘organizers.’ (Which made me a bit skeptical of their reports - ~grin~

But - the absolute deliberate LOWBALLING of numbers by major media didn’t make me fudge in the plus direction, like they fudged in the negative direction. IYKWIM. 8^)

Yes, ~most~ are from the 15th, but a very few from the follow-up ones that took place this past (now) weekend.

I’ve GOT to go to bed....

Have a great day - all you great folks!

I walked the crowd and I don’t think it was that large. Regardless, most fo us are not professional crowd estimaters. I am trying to be conservative on the numbers and using locally provided numbers by the media. That makes it less controversial.

According to Axelrod, we are “unhealthy”. Does he mean we are un-American for protesting and wanting Washington to stop the spending? The dummies keep saying it is/was about taxes. Let me say it one more time: It's about the unmitigated spending!

The St. Augustine Record still hasn't corrected their guess of just over 200, I don't believe they are even interested in accuracy.

We used to have bumper stickers that read, "DON'T ASK ME, I READ THE RECORD" We need to have some more printed up!

Awesome count. Thanks for your hard work. Next tea parties need to be held outside of all media headquarters and studios. They won’t be able to ignore us next time.

I was at the first one in FortWorth and it never looked to be more than 400, but after everyone signed up for emails the list showed 800-1000 had come and gone during the four hour protest.

Not everyone can come right at the first hour and likewise not qall can stay the whole time so it can seem smaller.

not professional crowd estimaters

While I am not a professional crowd estimator, I do work in radio news and have had to "guesstimate" crowds from time to time.

There are several methods but the one I think works the best, at least in certain venues, is to get a map and figure out the square footage of the area. Obviously the density of the crowd varies however if you had a fairly tightly packed crowd I figure 10-16 sq ft per person. !0 would be almost shoulder to shoulder while 16 would be kinda thin.

So if an area is 75,000 sq.Ft and it was completely tightly packed figure 7500 people. I then subtract 20% or so and use that number.

That seems to work pretty well for me.

I was at the Spokane event, and no way was there 5000. It should read 3000 -- which is still a very good turnout. But inflated figures is not going to help our cause.

If any of these numbers are from other days besides the 15th they should be asterisked with the day of the event or pulled off the ‘tax day tea party’ list -because they weren’t held on tax day.

Great work Ron C and Henchster!
