ABC's Sam Donaldson let a little of his inner-conspiracy theorist out this morning on This Week with George Stephanopoulos.
In a discussion of President Barack Obama's lessening the sanctions on Fidel Castro's Cuba, Donaldson began his analysis with one of a number a Kennedy-Truther notions that have been knocking around ever since President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963....
Another wild card in this crazy deck was Cuba's El Presidente, Castro. The theory being that Castro was upset with JFK's woefully planned and executed Bay of Pigs attempt at ending his nascent dictatorship, and therefore exacted his revenge by executing the 35th President.
Donaldson's buy-in for this house-of-cards game is apparently the Castro connection.
To wit:

I don’t think Oswald did it, but I wouldn’t necessarily say Castro did it, either... :-)
But, really... will we ever know for sure?
Looks like the MSM is not impressed with ZERO/Clinton overtures to Castro and Cuba. First Matthews and now Donaldson.
Holy crap! Sam Donaldson is still alive???
Not really.
I thought ol’Sam came off as clueless, even borderline delusional. Perhaps the dementia is kicking in. Soon he will think he is soon hosting “This Week”.
Right Sam. And even if he did have somethingf to do with it, now that he has a fellow traveller in the WH, do you really think he'd say "Not directly, but I provided blah blah blah to those involved." ??? dolt
Come to think of it...holy crap! This Week is still on TV???
Oswald did it....was he alone?
?????????????????probably not??
he was someones useful idiot.
There are a lot of mob second generation people in Chicago who believe the mob did it. How the manipulated or controled Oswald and then Ruby is hard to tell, but there was definitely motive there. The Mob and Teamsters helped JFK get elected and then he turned on them. This is a lesson that Zero knows and won’t make.
I obviously don’t know the answer, but I will give you odds. I think the probability is high that in was a KGB hit. Who the leg men were may remain a mystery. I think that Castro was an implementer. Time may tell the tale.
The evidence is conclusive that Oswald fired the shots, but I understand why people like to cling to more extravagent theories. And the leftwing media/entertainment complex feed those theories because they simply can’t accept that a communist loser like Oswald took down their big liberal hero Kennedy (who was not as liberal as he is portrayed, truth be told).
But for me, the big unresolved question in this case is whether Oswald acted alone. Was he part of a conspiracy? If so, did the goals of the conspiracy include Oswald’s assassination attempt on Gen. Edwin Walker on April 10, 1963, or did Oswald act alone in that? Gen. Walker was a prominent and outspoken anti-communist.
Even if Castro had something to do with Oswald, Donaldson is a fool for thinking he would admit it. Perhaps Donaldson’s idea is to have Castro deny it, and then the liberal media/entertainment complex can adopt the party line that Castro is conclusively innocent — after all, the hero of the left would never lie, would he?
I wonder if Mohair Sam remembers the big pop radio hit, “The Cuban Marching Song?” How about Cuba Libres? As I recall, that was a rum and coke with a twist.
For what it’s worth...I have been reading about the JFK assassination since 1966...
...here’s the answer...set-up by LBJ/Hoover through Ed Clark, LBJ’s personal attorney.
Mafia gunmen...hired to kill castro...it was turned on Kennedy.
Lee Oswald was an excretory little commie. An insignificant little man working a minimum wage job when one day he discovered the President would be driving right past his building.
The conspiracy theories surrounding the Kennedy assination are a tribute to the power of leftist propaganda. Even though they couldn’t deny his leftist affiliations - he’d lived in Russia and tried to immigrate to Cuba in 1963, they have still been successful at getting a vast number of otherwise reasonable people to believe that there was some vast conspiracy and that Oswald the leftist was either a helpless pawn or completely innocent. In so doing they have absolve themselves of one of the greatest crimes the left has ever perpetrated.
Oswald did it. He planned it. He carried it out all by himself.
No I don’t want to debate you.
Donaldson also showed this morning that as he's lost his mind.
Guess the kooks on FR will see this thread as another opportunity to spew nonsense about some JFK conspiracy theory. Oswald killed Kennedy. There was no conspiracy.
Yeah, who knew?
And he expects Castro to saw, exactly, what — “Yeah, I did it”? There appears to be no limit to the stupidity and naivete of Liberals.
You said — The evidence is conclusive that Oswald fired the shots, but I understand why people like to cling to more extravagent theories. And the leftwing media/entertainment complex feed those theories because they simply cant accept that a communist loser like Oswald took down their big liberal hero Kennedy (who was not as liberal as he is portrayed, truth be told).

I think it can be shown that Oswald was a double-agent for the CIA, and was able to infiltrate into the Soviet Union, under that cover. There’s evidence for there being a second “Oswald” which was used for “cover” to perpetrate the double-agent fraud on the Soviet Union and get the real Oswald in there. And then Oswald was working undercover to try and infiltrate the groups who were tied in with Cuba (Fairplay for Cuba or something like that), and trying to get intel on them (in New Orleans).
Also, there wasn’t time for Oswald to do the shooting *and also* to be seen where he was seen in the Texas Schoolbook Depository building. I think Oswald didn’t have a single thing to do with it and it was all a “set-up” in regards to him.
I do believe that Oswald was shot to silence him from telling the true story which would have exonerated him, exposed some of the CIA actions in what Oswald was doing (on some of those other things he was involved with). But, as far as the shooting, no..., I don’t think Oswald had a thing to do with it...
