Madonna falls from horse in NY, gets bruised
Saturday, April 18, 2009
New York (AP) --
Madonna has taken a tumble while horseback riding in New York's Hamptons and has suffered "minor injuries" and bruises.
A spokeswoman says the pop star fell Saturday afternoon when the horse was startled by paparazzi who "jumped out of the bushes" to photograph her.
Spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg says Madonna was treated at a Southampton hospital and was released. She won't disclose more details on the singer's condition.
Rosenberg says the singer of such pop classics as "Like a Virgin" and "Material Girl" had been visiting friends in the Hamptons, a playground for the rich and famous on the eastern end of Long Island.
Madonna was thrown from a horse in England in the summer of 2005. She cracked three ribs and broke her collarbone and a hand in that accident.

I thought she was dating A-Rod
I once fell out of a tree and bruised my elbow.
I wonder why she keeps getting thrown? Horses must be taking a dislike to her technique..
Well, I guess a horse is not any different than her other encounters -— do they make numbers that big???
That this makes news is, frankly, depressing.
Riding astride?

Not that I really care... but I thought we were all safe from Madonna... she lived in some castle in England... why is she back in USA? Can’t we give England some bailout money to keep her?
Well, she could’ve been crushed like Catherine The Great, so maybe that whole kaballah thing’s working out for her.
They always come home.
Is the horse OK?
Obama won Bush was gone

Christopher Reeves’ ghost must be incredulous.
Wow, really slow news day I guess.
Yeah, no mention how the horse or paparazzi are.
Maybe she should consider giving up horseback riding, she took another fall not long ago and was pretty badly banged up.
