The liberals keep harping on the AK-47. How many are produced in the USA? I don’t know of any. With all the drug contraband coming into Mexico from countries other than the USA one would think illegal weapons could just as easily come from the same sources. Blaming the USA is just plain folly.

Brazil, Pakistan, Albania, China, Bulgaria, Poland, Egypt, Iraq, India, Nigeria, Viet Nam, Venezuela and a few others have licenses to make them. No license has been granted to an American manufacturer. Your question about where they are made is my most favorite line to my goofy Lib in-laws. Unfortunately, they need to hear something 6,000 times before it cracks the bubble.
The AK-47 is Ruger's biggest seller, along with it's smaller brother, the Mini-47.

Heard a radio commentator say that the US Govt has provided (over the years) many assault weapons to the Mexican Govt. Also that over 100,000 of the Mexican military have also deserted over the years, many likely to have taken their machine guns, etc with them. Plus the members of the Mexican military who have sold military goods to drug dealers, etc.
The rest of the USA sourced assault weapons such as AK47’s, M16’s, grenade launchers, RPG’s, etc were from KMart, Walmart and Big5 Sporting Goods stores of course. Same place USA citizens get their AK47’s, etc.
Oh, the horrors of it all.
So much simpler just to ban crime with guns, knives, etc.
After all, making illegal drugs illegal completely took them off the streets. Total success story!
