The feeling today was electric. It was a true celebration of one of the lefts signature issues, diversity. There were people from all walks of life at the TEA Party in Chicago.

From the sterotypical old white guy to the atypical young college kid with piercings. I don’t think I have seen this much diversity in an event that the left has been shouting from the rooftops was going to be nothing but a few people whinning about losing an election.

I heard reports from talk radio here in Chicago saying that there were 10,000 people at the rally. It looked more like just over a thousand people to me. The realistic estimates were between 1,000 and 2,000. And it was a fired up group.

The signs were all over the place. My two favorites were the guy who showed up with “Don’t Tax Me Bro!!” and the guy who should up with “Republicans Suck Too…. End The Fed”. People were neither Republicans or Democrats, neither liberal or conservative; they were just plainly Americans worried about the direction that our Congress is taking us.

I went downtown to the TEA Party here in Chicago for two main reasons. To show my support and try to dispell the myths that the Mainstream Media has been spewing about what this is all about.

Some of the talking heads and pundits are saying that these TEA Parties are a one time thing. These TEA Parties are just a bunch of Republicans whinning because their guy lost and our guy is in the White House. These TEA Parties are just about taxes. All of these dismissives are off the mark.

You see what these TEA Parties are about is about a Government that is out of control and only getting worse.

Our Congress, specifically the House of Representatives, just passed a huge spending bill that was supposed to keep our Great Nation from going off the side of an economic cliff. Not a single member that voted on this bill actually read it, whether they voted for against it. Not a single member had time to read the 1,100 plus pages within the ten hours between when it was printed and delivered to the members of the House members and when it was voted on.

The Senate actually had enough time to read it, maybe. But it didn’t help them make any better decisions; as a matter of fact they even made it worse, if that is possible, by protecting bonuses to the executives of AIG.

Our Represtation in Washington D.C. have been working very hard over the past decade to take our freedoms and liberties from us. Most recently our guns and or ammunition have been the targets. But they are not alone. Smoking, fast food, faux grais, SUV’s (and other cars that have been deemed unacceptable by the left), and coming soon secret balloting at your place of work. And these are just the tip of the iceburg of loonacy!!

Today was a great show of diversity, as you will see from the pictures. The one thing that I really learned is that the old adage about reading books by their covers really stood out today. I met people who did not fit the sterotypical image of a conservative.

I wonder if the English said that the Patriots in Boston way back when was a one trick pony? Well we know how that ended up don’t we!!

Great video! Sorry I wasn’t there—I’m a capitalist pig who had to work. Maybe the next rally should be planned for a weekend. I know alot of people who would like to be there!

Woman to reporterette after asking how woman knew about the protest: "That's what the internet is for. Are you trying to play stupid or something?"

It must really grind liberals that their internet is being used effectively by us. For now.

The local media coverage of this was despicable. ABC local news at 10 last night had it as their lead story, then interviewed someone from the Young Republicans and Republican Andy McKenna—Message: this is a Republican movement. Then TV news reader and WLS radio contributor Ron Magers slammed fellow ABC owned WLS radio personality Mancow for appearing at the rally. Wish someone would post the clip if they have it. Mancow responded on his program this morning. Then Magers started up again this afternoon on the Roe Conn program. I had to turn it off. Roe Conn was also opining that he didn’t think the rallies were sending the “right message.” Liberal media will hopefully start eating their own....
