...MSNBC's David Shuster weaved a tapestry of "Animal House" humor Monday as he filled in for Countdown host Keith Olbermann.
The protests, he explained, amount to "Teabagging day for the right wing and they are going nuts for it."
He described the parties as simultaneously "full-throated" and "toothless," and continued: "They want to give President Obama a strong tongue-lashing and lick government spending." Shuster also noted how the protesters "whipped out" the demonstrations this past weekend... ..."Well, there is a lot of love in teabagging," Cox said. "It is curious, though, as you point out, they do not use the verb 'teabag.' It might be because they're less enthusiastic about teabagging than some of the more corporate conservatives who seem to have taken to it quite easily."

Disgusting pigs. I hope people across the Nation know what this means and write letters complaining about the filthy innuendos being used.
This Schuster guy and Rachael Madcow and Anderson Cooper are just sick wackos. They obviously speak from experience. They have been teabagged themselves no doubt. Then throw in Keith Olbermoann and that makes a real cluster fluug. A gaggle fluug.
This is juvenile. My high school class of ‘81 could have come up with better stuff. These people are just scared.
They did the same with the Contract for America, calling it the Contract On America.
I interpret this as a sign we are getting to them.
"You said Uranus. heh-heh."
I always suspected that the entire cabal on MSNBC and CNN were closeted homosexuals. Except for madcow and anderson, that it.
Now we have confirmation.
I am not so much bothered by the MSM as I am astounded at the new lows they seem consistently to reach with each passing day. Truly, it’s hilarious. How can even the staunchest liberals read this stuff and not break out laughing at how utterly stupid and incredible it is?
The NY Times’ coverage of the tea parties is so pathetic that I can’t read it without laughing out loud. It’s like a Saturday Night Live parody or something straight from the Onion. It has gotten to the point for me that I can’t resist going to the NY Times solely for the amusement value. Can this newspaper and its readers truly be so stupid?
I did not attend one of the tea parties, but I am overwhelmed at the outpouring. This brings me more optimism than I have felt in a long, long time.
I know how shocking it must be to you to discover the socialsit media have their minds in their underpants! I would have never thought this in a million years!
David Shuster? Chrissy? Yipes... If they think the tea parties are so stupid etc...why are they wastiing their air time talking about them? If the tea parties are not important ... then why bother talking about them after the fact? Why didn’t they go to the tea parties and speak with the people who attended. They were afraid the people would tell them what for that’s why. They are snivelling little babies...with nothing important to report. Glad they are giving the tea parties so much attention though....thanks all you lefty/lib/dems who will keep these tea parties alive and well. You are giving free advertisement but being the idiots you are you have no clue that’s what you are doing. Thanks for the laughs and...thanks for the attention you are heaping upon the citizens of this country. Imagine...we got it all for free thanks to you! Ha, heh, ho,heh,hah... ahhh, it doesn’t get any better than this.
It shows where they are focused. It has gone well beyond humorous, past tiresome, past obnoxious to anger inducing. I called the GM of our local Air America station to say how offensive I found it. I mentioned that I would be encouraging all the small business owners I know to avoid advertising on such a gross and obscenity laced station.
I tried to find the FCC page to complain about it under the obscenity regulations, but could not.
Are these guys 2 years old? I cold come up with better insults. Of course I am from a large family and you develop some sharp skills honed by living with you competitors for 18 years. :>)
That ain’t funny and I’m not insulted.
I never heard this term until yesterday. At the Asheville tea party, which I attended, were many families with small children and senior citizens. How disgustingly low-class to ascribe this behavior to them.
How disgusting and juvenile they all are. Of course, there’s no doubt Cooper has personal experience with the other use of the term. That’s why he’s so familiar with it.
I have mixed feelings on it. Foxnews has more viewers than all the liberal cable news outlets combined. The liberal networks seem to be competing with each other for the liberal kook audience and shunning the Foxnews audience.
It might not be bad to let them get even more outrageous as they try to "outleft" each other, driving more and more sane people away.
Here in Chicago, one of our local morning radio newsgals used the term “teabagging” in describing yesterday’s events. She did it several times, without giggling, so it wasn’t just an accident or a one-time joke. Very unprofessional.
Amazing, isn’t it? And they’re supposed to be “respectable” news reporters? They overlook the REAL in-your-face raunchiness of, say, the “gay pride” parades, but they’re going on and on about the alternate definition for a little-used term that probably most people never heard about.
Frat House Humor? How about Middle School.
Just goes to show where ‘gutter politics’ actually comes from.
These folks live in ‘Wonderland’.
