Georgetown Says It Covered Over Name of Jesus to Comply With White House Request

(CNSNews.com) - Georgetown University says it covered over the monogram “IHS”--symbolizing the name of Jesus Christ—because it was inscribed on a pediment on the stage where President Obama spoke at the university on Tuesday and the White House had asked Georgetown to cover up all signs and symbols there.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the “IHS” monogram that had previously adorned the stage at Georgetown’s Gaston Hall was still covered up--when the pediment where it had appeared was photographed by CNSNews.com.

"I can't figure this one out. Zero released a pamphlet during the election to prove what a great Christian he was. It had a photo on the cover of Bambi with a large cross near his head. He took some (justified) heat for that one.

That was to sucker the christians into voting for him. Now, that he is elected - the muslims will be offended to see the messiah anywhere near the name of Jesus or seeing a cross in his presence!

The christian voters should have had a clue from the church the Obama's attended for 20 years.

The problem isn't Obama and his minions, we know what they are. But how in the world do you ask Georgetown to cover the name of Jesus and they say “Sure!”? Why couldn't someone at the college just say” You have to be kidding me, right?” We all know the “Spirit of AntiChrist” has been with us since the beginning, but there is a choice to reject him or accept him. Some places and people that should be at the front of the battle are in retreat. If not Obama, it will be someone else, Kennedy, Pelosi, Biden, Kerry, and many more. But where are the soldiers for Christ?

What's absurd is "the One" wanted the prestige and setting of a supposedly elite Catholic Jesuit university to give a speech, but then asks to have a Catholic/Christian symbol covered up? What's the deal with that?

He could just as easily have delivered the speech at George Washington University, American University, Howard University, or even at a room at the White House. But, no, Obama wanted the Catholic/Jesuit/Ivy setting and ambiance of Gaston Hall at Georgetown.

Georgetown should have said, "No!" Fr. Walsh and Fr. Bunn NEVER would have gone for this in the old days. Will any priest (or any Catholic) there speak up for Catholic symbols now?

It's following a very calculated policy of exploiting religion for political purposes, searching out and finding fake Catholic enablers from among the liberal modernist fruitcakes who have infiltrated and taken over many institutions (like Georgetown and Notre Dame). Georgetown has been a post-Catholic Illuminati front for liberals and secular humanists for decades.

It's not just a Catholic symbol. I was raised Methodist and it's part of our symbolism as well.

Lol, but I never heard it mentioned in a Southern Baptist Church. Of course, those tend to do their own things, so it might be known in some and not others.
