What's absurd is "the One" wanted the prestige and setting of a supposedly elite Catholic Jesuit university to give a speech, but then asks to have a Catholic/Christian symbol covered up? What's the deal with that?

He could just as easily have delivered the speech at George Washington University, American University, Howard University, or even at a room at the White House. But, no, Obama wanted the Catholic/Jesuit/Ivy setting and ambiance of Gaston Hall at Georgetown.

Georgetown should have said, "No!" Fr. Walsh and Fr. Bunn NEVER would have gone for this in the old days. Will any priest (or any Catholic) there speak up for Catholic symbols now?
